12. Lost in the castle

Chapter 12:

Blake's POV:

"Thank you so much for doing this, Dirk."

He smiles,"Its no trouble. What are friends for right?"

He took in my pack and promised to keep them safe while I deal with this vampire problem.

I stand,"I need to get going. The faster I can get my men out, the better."

He stands also and walks around his desk to give me a hug, he pats my back,"I'm sorry I can't do more, but I can't endanger my men as well."

I nod,"I understand. Just keep my pack safe and make sure no one knows I'm still alive. I can't have anyone tipping off the Vampire King."

He nods,"Will do," he clasps my shoulder,"Be safe."

I give him a fleeting smile then walk out of his office. Once outside I shift into my wolf and take off to the Vampire King's castle.

Two days later:

I've finally reached The Vampire King's territory. Now all I have to do is infiltrate his castle which is heavily guarded by vampires. Yeah, that should be easy!

I stop a little ways away from his territory and shift back. I pull out the Heylen leaves and start rubbing them all over my body. Heylen leaves are a special kind of herb that can be used to disguise my werewolf scent.

Once done, I walk quickly through his clans territory. I go unnoticed by the many vampires walking about, and make it to his castle with no problems.

Three vampires patrolling the front entrance of his castle, two on each side of the castle, and five more guarding the back.

The side of his castle will be easier to sneak in since there are the least guards.

I quietly hide behind a tree and watch a vampire guard walk down the side of the castle. He stops and looks into the forest where I'm hiding, he doesn't notice me and then keeps on walking.

I sprint to the castle wall and leap onto it, using my sharp nails to dig into the stone. I quickly climb up the wall until I reach a window. I silently open it and clamber inside.

I land in a bedroom by the looks of it. I stand and start walking toward the door.

The doorknob starts to turn as I'm walking closer. I dive into a closet right before the door opens.

A human butler walks in and closes the door behind him. He walks over to the bed and starts to fluff the pillows and make the bed.

As he's doing that, I walk from the closet up behind him. I grab his head and snap his neck. I quickly undress him then hide his body in the closet.

I pull off my clothes and dress in his uniform which consists of a black suit and silver tie, with silver gloves as well.

I straighten my jacket then walk out of the bedroom.

Now, if my men are being kept in the dungeon, then they'll be on the lowest floor of the castle.

I find the stairs and start down them. While walking down, a maid sees me and stops in front of me.

She frowns,"I've never seen you here before."

I nod,"Yeah, I'm new. Just started today," I hold out my hand,"My name is Tim," I lie.

She smiles, buying my story instantly. She shakes my hand,"My name is Kimberly."

"So do you have any idea where the Vampire King is at the moment?" I ask her. Might as well get some information from her.
