She picked up. She: "hello"
(trying to control her sobs)
Me: "why you hung up? And who told you that I am going to get married?"
She: "if you're thinking that I don't know anything, then you are wrong. I saw her... with you"
(more sadly than before)
Me: "Alright, first you stop crying. I don't wanna see you cry."
She: "I don't need this care anymore. Go, show your care to her."
(actually, she meant that "in this time I only need your support and care the most. If you leave me, I'll fall deep" and I knew that.)
Me: "have you really gone mad? First of all, tell me where you saw her with me."
She: "in that Lehnga shop where you took her for her wedding shopping. I was there."
(oh! Now I got it. I was all set to clear her misunderstanding, but my mischievous mind said that it's time to have some fun.)
Me: "Oh! You saw her. So, how's my choice? Tell me, I want to know your opinion."
She: "who am I to you now? You don't need my opinion, all you need is her's."
(it was like she was throwing pebbles at me and cursing me that here I am crying for you and you are teasing me, you idiot!)
Me: "come on! Be a good sport, just tell me what you think about us?"
She: "us? You are such an asshole. Here I am crying for you and you are asking me 'what do you think about us?'"
Finally, she spoke. She let it come out.
I wanted her to speak out every single word which was bothering her. I realized that she had stopped crying and now her all attention was on our conversation. That was what I wanted. I saw myself succeeding.
So, I began again "okay, I am. But you saw her, right. So, tell me how is she?"
She: "Alright, listen. She is the okay-okay type. I mean you always like tall girls, right? But she is shorter than me."
I smiled. "okay. And?"
She: "she looks aged too. Have you seen her DoB proof? I mean, she looks like 3-4 years older than me. Plus, she has a very bad dressing sense. You boys never get that. And seems like she is an arrogant girl too. The rest is okay"
I grinned. "So, she is short, aged, arrogant, have bad dressing sense and the rest is okay, right? What's left now in your 'rest', huh?" I asked.
She started laughing. "no, I didn't mean that. Well, it's your choice. What can anybody do in this?"
I asked: "by the way, why were you comparing her to yourself?"
She: "no, I was not comparing. I was just telling you my opinion. You asked for it, remember?"
(girls! they never accept their fault easily)
Me: "cool. So, should I get married to her?" I came to the point.
