The Journal Entry... (Chapter 8)

Alex's P.O.V

The rest of the page hasn't been written on yet. I decided to dismiss it and continued looking for Evelyn.

I heard sniffles down the hall and followed them.

I opened the closet door at the end of the landing and heard Evelyn scream and close the door.

I laughed a little and then said, "Hey Evelyn?"

"... Go away..."

She doesn't want to be talked to right now I guess...

I walked back downstairs and picked up the controller again and started to build something random.

Ben's P.O.V.

I took the time ,Alex was downstairs playing Minecraft by herself, to write more in my journal. It already said...

Dear journal,

I played Minecraft with this girl named Alex...

I decided to continue writing by saying

She caught on quick and is now building something on her own. I think... I have a crush on her??? I honestly don't know but, she told this other girl, Evelyn that she liked me. Now I'm contemplating if I should tell her my feelings... Maybe in a few days or months time? Ugh... I can't wait much longer because I'll eventually blurt it out at the wrong time. I will set a day and time the next day I write. That will make things a little easier... I hope. Well, write in you later.

I sighed and set the pen down, thinking about a day and time.

Tomorrow at 11? No... 2 days from now at 11? Why is it always 11 am? UGH! Why is it so hard to pick a day and time?!

I heard knocking at my door and shut my journal and put it in my bookshelf and ran back to my seat, while trying to make as little noise as possible.

"Come in!"  I said.

Alex walked in. "Come on!" She said, smiling at me. "I want to show you something!" She grabbed my wrist and dragged me down the stairs.

She sat down on the floor while I sat on the couch. She flew away from her creation just to turn around and show the most beautiful house ever!

The inside was also furnished really well! There was enough detail but not too much, and it was in a beautiful birch forest.

"You like it?"

"Yeah! It's amazing!"

I also like you... I say in my head.
I should've said it out loud then!

Oh, wait... she ran off upstairs into her room as I picked up the controller and wandered off in the world, near the house, to see what I could find.

Alex's P.O.V.

I went into my room and chilled for a bit. Once I heard buttons being pushed, I opened my door very slowly so that it made no noise.

I tip-toed down the hallway and opened his door and closed it behind me.

I went to the bookcase and found the book I was looking for. I opened it to today's date and noticed that he wrote more.

Oh my gosh! He likes me! Which is ironic because I also like him!

I'm kind of annoyed that he heard me talking to Evelyn earlier today, but at least I know his feelings now.

I put the journal back where he left it and snuck back to my room with success. I grabbed my phone and put some music on and started dancing to it for no reason.

Ben's P.O.V.

I heard some loud music from upstairs so I decided to see what it was.

I walk upstairs and find out that it's coming from Alex's room. I slightly open her door to see her singing and dancing to the song!

Goodness she looks so exhausted. Should I stop her...?

No. I think she would stop herself if she got to tired.

Oh she's stopping... I should hurry up and go downstairs and get back to building.

As I sat down she walked down. That was waaaaay to close.

She sits down next to me and looks at my build. "That's a nice...... uuuuh what is it?"

"It's supposed to be a farm.." I say sadly, upset that she couldn't understand what it was.

"Oh... Sorry that I didn't recognize it." She looks down and blushes from embarrassment.

"I-It's ok. I need to work on my building skills anyway." I say.

All of a sudden I hear the snap of a camera from upstairs. Alex seemed to hear it too, because she immediately looked up and saw Evelyn waving the photo.

Alex growled and turned away from Evelyn. What is wrong with Evelyn sometimes? She confuses me. She's crying one minute and taking photos of me and Alex the next.

I looked down and noticed my arm was on the top of the couch, near Alex. I quickly put it down and continued on improving my build, with Alex's help.

Alex's P.O.V.

I was helping Ben with his build as Evelyn walked downstairs.

"Hey guys. I'm gonna leave. I have to go back to work." She says as she grabs her bag.

"Okay," I say as I point out where to put some plants.

After another hour the build was completely finished.

"Hey Alex. Thanks for teaching/helping me with my build. It looked terrible before you helped me," He said as he flew back to view what we had done.

"Of course. It wasn't too bad but it does look quite cool now. It's not to hard just remember what I've taught you."

I was so happy that he thanked me. I mean I have a crush on him so any time I talk to him is great! But him actually thanking me?! That's the best thing ever.

He's so nice and cool. I'm glad he's my caretaker for this time. If I got anyone else, I don't know where I would be.
