Carson stood next to his Mother, clutching a folded piece of paper tightly. He watches a priest speak and waits while everyone says goodbye to Chandler's body. He didn't have the strength to look at the casket.
According to his uncle, Chandler was in therapy and was reclusive. Apparently Chandler was battling suicidal thoughts, all alone.
Carson watches solemnly as they lower the casket. He had cried every waking minute since that morning, but he couldn't find it in himself to cry now.
His Mother rubbed his shoulder, comfortingly, but nothing could shake Carson from the cold. Nothing.
That was the last time that Carson saw Chandler.
