In the night of the dark
In the night of a bark
The shadows show in the light
Even the cat has frights of the night
Monsters from under the bed
Have led a shred
Yes, they frighten me so

The branches show the monsters out tonight
The branches show my fright
Some light shines from the moon's reflection
The moon is a full section
My closet opens by mystery
So much clothes with history
