Pass Me By

All I wanted to do was say hi to you
But somehow the words never came out
They were simple to think, such a sweet thought
They were hard to say, a bitter taste in my throat

But, oh, how my soul raged!
It was simple but I made it complicated
I waited too long and knew you too well
Without having to say a word to you

I know you have a pretty smile
But I wish I had heard your laugh
I wanted to see the spark in your eyes
This infatuated has been killing me
I want to cry from the interal pain
Thank you self, for being antisocial!
You just let another one pass me by!

And this time he was good, from what I saw
He was kind, a total nerd, someone I should've known
I can't believe I let him pass me by.
