8 Years Later

A dark corridor stood before me. My curiosity beckoned me to pursue what was on the other side. I cautiously moved through the corridor silently. I reached the end and saw the sun coming through the window of a large chamber. I watched a tall, slim built guy with long blonde hair talked with two other people that was with him hidden behind some large crates.

"Are you sure? This is where the Occulytes will be?" He whispered.

"Yeah, Thats what I saw. I'm a foreseer after all." The guy responded.

I thought to myself, Occulytes, foreseer, aren't these the things My Dad use to read to me about from when I was a kid. I backed back not believing what was going on and I knocked over a table. All of their heads snapped my way. The blonde hair guy looked directly at me.

He turned to them and said. "Can you see that guy standing over their at the table?"

"What guy, Hunter. I don't see anything you might be tripping." The guys retorted.

I backed into the corner into the darkness to hide myself. I don't know why he only saw me. But I figured it would be better if I hid myself. I started to hear murmuring coming down the same corridor I walked through. Then these guys in cloaks walked out. They walked to the middle of the chamber and suddenly they dropped down as if they fell asleep while walking. The three guys came from behind the boxes.

"Did you put them in a dream again Hunter?" One guys asked.

"Yeah, it's pretty bad this time. They might start screaming this time. We're carrying one with us, kill the other two." Hunter replied.

"As you wish, My king." The other two guys drew knives and slit the guy's throats on the ground. The other one started to scream as they tied him up. But he was still asleep as if he was in a trance.

At this time I started to panic and began to move to the corridor to run away. Just before I reached, The guy with the long blond hair turned to me and pierced by his blue eyes. I came to a halt. It was like both of us went into a different world. I stood and looked around. It was just a empty room. Hunter appeared and walked towards me, cautiously inspecting me. Then he looked in my eyes again and a pounding headache came over me. I held my head in hands and closed my eyes. The pain started to ease and then I opened them and looked at him. He walked towards me and grabbed my cheeks and looked directly in my eyes and said, "Oneiro!".

A knock on my window aroused me. I rolled over and spotted Leah. She's been my friend for as long as I can remember. And today is the day, I'm going to make her my mines. I promised myself when I was 15 that I would wait until graduation and if both of us were single I'd take my shot.  I looked to her hands and saw a cupcake with a candle on it.

"I told you not to get me anything Leah." I exclaimed.

"Come on, It's your 18th birthday, Of course I had to. Come on blow the candle out."

"Fine." I walked to window knelt down and blew the candles out.

"Now get dressed, only 2 hours until graduation."

"Alright, Give me an hour." I said.

"Yeah I'll be downstairs with my Mom." She replied.

I walked to my dresser to pick out some clothes. Most of them were dirty. I grabbed one of my sweater jackets and some jeans and threw them on my bed. I got in the shower as the lukewarm water hit my head all the memories of the dream started to come back. I remembered the Hunter guy and I remember him calling me Oneiro. What did that even mean? I guess I'll ask my Dad when I come out the shower. I dressed and walked to the kitchen and saw my Dad drinking coffee. I grabbed a bowl and started to make cereal. I guess this was a good time to ask.
