Dear Bestie,

New beginnings, friendship and chances was what I found when you gave me to Lilianna. The torch was passed on, you allowed someone else to enjoy me, unlike my previous owner that simply threw me away when she was done with me. You were different, that's what I loved about you.

You walked through the busy streets with me tucked under your arm. I had major nostalgia, remembering the time about 12 years prior when you used to have me everywhere with you. Hopefully, my owner will do the same, I thought.

You stopped to this single story apartment complex. You rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer while you rapidly tapped your foot.

A little girl opened up the door. Her big brown eyes lit up. "Hi, Sophia! How are you? Is your mommy here to see my mommy?"

You chuckled, "I am well Lilianna. I came alone and I came to see you."

Lilianna squinted, "Really? Why?"

You pinched her full cheeks, "I have a present for you."

She jumped up and down. "Really, really, really?! What is it?"

You handed me to her, "This is for you Lilianna. I figured you would like him. This bear is very special to me. I had him from when I was about your age. Can you promise you will take very good care of him?"

She smiled brightly, "I will take very good care of him. I promise, no, no, I pinky swear. Thank you so much, Sophia!"

You grinned, "You are welcome, sweetie. I have to go now, but can you tell Mrs. Amoretti that I said hello."

"Will do! Thanks again!" She exclaimed.

She closed the door and gave me a big hug. She brought me up to her eye level and said: "You know Teddy Bear, I think you and I are going to be besties, bestie forever and ever."

Indeed we were besties. Besties till the end of time.
