---Nightmare's POV----

He fainted.

My tentacles grip loosened and I picked scooped him into my arms, my tentacles letting go of him entirely and going back to lying passively behind me.

"Uh...Sir?"

I turned around to see Error, my first mate stood in the doorway. He went to say something but froze as he saw the unconscious skeleton in my arms.

"Is that...him...?"

I glanced down at the skeleton, he was frowning slightly and hugging himself tightly, an almost cute expression on his face. "I think so...to early to confirm it though. Call off the others, this village is of no use to us anymore."

Error nodded and ran out, yelling orders at the rest of the crew to get back to the ship, we were done with this island.

I let a tentacle pick up the knife he'd thrown at me and laughed to myself, eying the blade.

Known by the villagers to walk on a knifes edge...

The knife could mean anything, just a mere coincidence. But his scar...

Defined by many for his lightning like scar...

I traced the sideways zigzag on his face and smirked. Not many people would have scars like this, I'm sure of it. And this has to be more than just a coincidence.

Well if he isn't the person we're looking for...we can always just throw him overboard for the sharks, I'm sure they'd love that.

I looked around the current room we were in one last time before tightening my grip on the skeleton and walking out, out of the house and down the hill, back to my ship.

By the time I'd got there, Error had already rounded up everyone else and they were making their way back onto the ship, a few people staying to push back some confused villagers as they yelled threats at us.

I carried the skeleton onto the ship and smirked, glancing back at the villagers. They all fell silent.

"That's better..." I muttered to myself as I walked down to our holding cells, chaining my new prisoner to the wall by his wrists, a grin making its way across my face.

He tried to cling to me as I stepped back, whimpering softly. I frowned and cupped his cheek with my hand. He instantly relaxed. I raised an 'eyebrow'. That's strange.

I stared at him for a moment before shaking my head and turning away from him, walking up back on the main deck where the crew was already at work.

I laughed and glanced back at the island we'd left. It was now a mere speck in the distance. A blob of yellow in an ocean of blue.

---Cross' POV----

Darkness.

That's all I could see.

Pure, bottomless black.

I walked through the dark expanse, desperately searching for another colour other than black.

A sudden whimper to my left caused me to whip around and look down at the floor besides me.

There was a small blob of red.

Blood.

I shivered as I realised it made a trail.

Having nothing better to do I followed it, some stupid part of my mind saying that maybe the trail of blood would leave to an exit or a way out of his his dark abyss.

As I walked forwards the whimper rang out again, making me jump in surprise and look around.

There!

A body...

I ran over to them, panicking slightly as my movements slowed. My legs felt heavy and breathing suddenly felt harder.

I watched as the figure uncurled and looked at me, a completely broken look in their eyes.

I froze, feeling myself he dragged back against my own will.

They reached a hand out for me and I screamed, being dragged back.

"PAPYRUS!"

I woke up with a jolt, my cheeks wet with tears. I whimpered and tried to curl up, only to have my wrists harshly yanked back by the heavy chains pinning me to the wall.

I struggled and cried out, confused and scared.

That dream had felt so real...

Papyrus died three years ago when a village fire broke out. He had rushed round pulling people from the burning houses. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

He had gone to save a girl in one of the burning houses, as he ran in she ran out from the back, having escaped from a window.

The house collapsed before he could run out.

I still dream of his death...

I jolted and looked up at the sound of heavy footsteps clomping down the stairs that led to my cell.

I pressed myself back against the wall, terrified.

Four skeletons walked down, one being the Captain.

One of them gave me a creepy grin, his teeth stained with blood. His clothes were ripped and messy, some parts showing scarred bones beneath. What creeped me out was the worrying chunk missing from his skull. It looked like a cannon ball had been blown through the top of his head. He also had a bloodied axe hanging from his belt, along with a standard pistol.

The one next to him wore the same clothes, also similarly ripped, like the other one. It looked like they'd been in a big fight, and lost. He seemed pretty normal apart from one of his eye lights, which was off, red with a ring of purple, his other eye was normal. He had a sword sheathed at his side and a gun by his side. He wasn't grinning like the other one, he was smirking. And for some reason that scared me more.

The third stayed back, leaning against the wall, a dagger in each fist. He had dark drips running from his eye sockets, giving him a haunted soulless look. He barely payed me any attention, constantly glancing at the captain. His clothes were also torn and tattered, practically falling to pieces. He didn't have a gun or sword at his belt, simply his two daggers, which he was currently fiddling with. I wasn't very impressed, I'm skilled with knives, and I was itching to suddenly speak out and tell him what he's doing wrong.

I stayed silent.

The Captain eyed me for a moment, his cold blue eye scanning my body.

I stared back at him, my mind going slightly flustered from the way he looked at me.

He chuckled softly before looking at the three skeletons, passing the black tear stained one a pice of paper. "You know what to do." He growled before walking out.
