Sitting in the tension-filled car was starting to weigh on Jane. She was bored, and Alpha hadn't made any attempt to talk to her, not that she had done much better. Jane couldn't help but wonder if he was scared to speak to her because she was the daughter of his boss. Afraid of the fact that she had a direct line of contact with her and could go over their heads if need be. That's not how Jane wanted it to be, though. She wanted their small team to feel more like a family or friends at the very least. It got to the point that Jane couldn't take it anymore as the sound of silence deafened the car, and she turned to face Alpha.

"So, where do you think Delta is?" Jane asked since it had been the one thing on her mind the whole time they were locked away in the concrete bunker.

"Don't worry about it," Alpha muttered as if trying to divert the question.

"Then tell me why I haven't met him yet, at least. Am I not qualified enough?" Jane continued questioning, but Alpha remained stoic and focused on the road.

"Stop asking questions; we're here." The cold tone of his voice made Jane look out the passenger window. In the darkness of night, she could see the dormitory with what was another beat-pumping party going on inside.

"So that's it? You're just going to completely avoid my questions?" Jane retorted while continuing to look at Alpha, awaiting his answer. In return, all she got was him raising his hand in front of her while pointing at the car door. "Fine, I didn't want to be in your car anymore anyway."

Grabbing the door handle, Jane pushed it open while Alpha had enough courtesy to move his hand away from her face so that she could leave. The answers that Jane was looking for remained a mystery, and it pissed Jane off even more as she slammed the car door behind her. Expecting Alpha to drive away in the moment that followed since he had no reason to still be there. Yet the rumble of the car was still echoing in Jane's ears from behind her. Out of nowhere, her anger took control as she turned and raised her hands out to the sides. "What are you still doing here!"

Jane's yell was met with him revving the engine as if that was some form of response; little did Jane know it was actually a warning. From behind, she suddenly felt someone's arms wrap around her waist, and their hands were looking for a feel of whatever they could get ahold of. Then she heard the drunken growl of a man, and the smell of alcohol filled Jane's nose. "You're not getting away from me this time."

The voice was all too familiar as Jane went to turn around only to have the drunken individual dig their fingers into her stomach. Jane was about ready to throw her head back to try and attack him, but before she could, the unthinkable happened. Alpha had stepped out of the car and leaned on the vehicle, a lit cigarette hanging between his lips. His eyes were focused on Jane and who she could only assume was a drunken Steve, who had wrapped himself around her waist.

"Hey, kid, I'd get your hands off the girl if I was you." Alpha threatened as he removed the cigarette from his lips and blew out the smoke.

"You had your chance, man. Can't you see she isn't into older dudes? This is my woman right here. Now screw off, so I can have her to myself." Steve's words were slurred, but the threat of what he wanted to do to Jane was clear.

Jane looked over at Alpha, unsure if she should be the one to launch an attack on the drunken baboon of a man. However, after reading Alpha's subtle gestures, he waved Jane off and put the cigarette back in his mouth. Laughing between his teeth, he shook his head as a show of mocking Steve. Seeing it made Jane giggle to herself since she could feel the fear radiating from her attacker. He was trying to hold her closer while the growling tone that Alpha possessed filled the air. "You want to go, tough guy?"
