Sirius

Remus Lupin never told me was such a good kisser.

Of course, he also never told me he liked me, but that was obvious.

We aren't kissing anymore. We're just lying together, in my bed, legs entwined and arms wrapped around each other. I'm lying with my head on his shoulder, trying not to fall asleep from the tiredness that has flooded back in, when he finally talks. 'Why now?'

'Why what now?' My voice is so soft I'm surprised he can hear it. 'You know what I mean.' I move my head towards his neck and kiss the base of it; 'I'm sure I don't.'

He laughs softly, and I feel it vibrate through him. 'I mean, why did you kiss me now? What gave you the confidence to do it?' I lift my mouth away from his neck and shuffle upwards so I'm eye level with him (eye level while lying down, that is.) 'Seeing James with Lily gave me confidence, because I bet the bugger I'd kiss you before he'd kiss Lily, and I'm pretty sure they're snogging now.' It's a joke, but Remus takes it seriously. 'Is that it?' He's frowning, so I move my mouth up to his forehead to kiss away the frown. 'No, you idiot. I just couldn't handle being next to you and not kissing you anymore.. I guess I realised I just had to go for it.'

I move my head down again and press my lips to his. This time, he flips me over so I'm on the bottom, and laces our fingers together, pulling my hands up above my head. I'm so unbelievingly happy right now.

Our moment is broken by James opening the door suddenly. For a few seconds none of us move, but then James breaks the silence by running over to us with a huge grin plastered to his face. 'I KNEW IT! I FUCKING KNEW IT!' He's almost dancing around the room with excitement. 'Okay, okay, I'm gonna go to sleep and let you guys continue,' he walks over to his bed, sits down, then stands up again and comes back over to us. 'I can't believe all I had to do was leave the room for a while.' He bites his lip, then reaches over and closes the curtains around my bed. 'Try not to be too loud, guys.' Then we hear him walk over to his bed and turn off the light. In under a minute, we can hear soft snores coming from his bed, and I look up at Remus and bite my lip to hold in a laugh. Then I pull his face down to mine again and kiss him slowly. We break apart after a little while and I suddenly notice how tired Remus is; his eyes are beginning to droop sleepily and he's leaning on me heavily. I gently push him off me so he's lying down next to me, and then flip, so my back is facing him. He understands what I'm doing, and wraps his arms around my waist from behind, nuzzling his face in the crook of my neck, so that we're spooning. 'G'night, Pads...'

I smile and close my eyes, 'Night.'

After a few minutes, the tiredness from before takes hold of me again. I'm about to fall asleep when Remus' voice interrupts me from doing this. 'Sirius.'

'Yeah?'

I'm met with silence. 'Remus?' I feel him swallow slowly, his adam's apple moving against the back of my neck. 'I think I love you.' A warm, fuzzy feeling rushes through me, and I place my hands over his own. 'I think I love you too.'

Lily

I'm woken by Marlene throwing a pillow at me. 'Lils, it's time to wake up.' I groan and pull the covers up over my head, trying to go back to sleep. 'Lily!' Mary's voice causes me to open my eyes and sit up groggily, a terrible throbbing beginning in my head. I'm met with the sight of the four other Gryffindor seventh year girls sitting on my bed, looking at me expectantly. 'What?' My voice is hoarse, and thick with sleep (or rather, the lack of it.)

'Alice told us that Frank told her that you were in the boys' dorm last night!' Dorcas is practically bouncing with excitement and I roll my eyes at her. 'Yes, I was..' There isn't any use trying to hide anything from these girls, so I tell them what happened.
