Chapter 7

Day 3

We go off to Connors kitchen to get some food, and I had forgot all about the endermen all I could think of was that page in my pocket. "So how'd you sleep?" Connor asks. "Okay, I guess"I respond. Connor giggles "You guess? Did you have a bad dream or something?" I just sit there thinking, apparently I didn't look so happy because he asks me " are you really okay? You don't look good. What's wrong?" I think to myself, should I tell him? Will he think I'm crazy?? Without thinking I quickly say "well this morning there were two endermen in the house and they stole your couch. They left me a book titled 17 ways to minecraft and then when I touched the book it disappeared leaving me one page, then you walked in and I put the page in my pocket." Connor looked alarmed. " THEY STOLE MY COUCH?! I quickly say in a calm voice "yes Connor, but I can get you a new one" Connor always had minor anger issues. He was panting, but calming himself down and we didn't talk for the next five minutes it was complete silence. I decided to break that silence and said "so you wanna go get the stuff to replace your couch?" I had been thinking about what I told him and thought he didn't even pay attention to the book part of my story when he says "well I don't know about right now but can we see what that page says?" Sort of shocked I say "umm yea, right, the...that thing" I slowly pull it out of my pocket and un-crinkle it so it's flat and open it reads:

#9: If you see two white endermen, that's bad luck and bad news.

My eyes widen and I freeze. Connor says " why would it say that? I've never seen any white endermen and you never mentioned anything about white..." he looks up at me and says slowly "endermen...." "Tulip..... Those endermen that stole my couch didn't happen to be white did they?" I slowly nod and then put my head on the table confused, worried and upset. He hugs me, "it will be fine and I turn back and in tears. I hug him tightly and start crying.
