chapter eleven

(Erens p.o.v)

I was extremely upset by Levi's actions. What gave him the right to force this relationship with me and then running off to someone else? After storming away from our booth, I made myself comfortable at the bar and drank so much I was close to passing out.
"Eren calm down!" Hanji panicked suddenly, confusing me in my inebriated state. "Levi's gonna be pissed... Fuck, he's gonna kill me!" Hanji tried and failed to force me from my place; I just stayed there, drinking away my sorrow.
"Just leave me Hanji," I shoved her away, "Go home." Staying there, occasionally sipping some of my drink, I was approached by a random stranger. He was cute- or at least he looked that way to my drunk brain.
"Hey, is this seat taken?" I happily allowed him to make himself comfortable, what was the harm in a little flirting? "I'm Alexander," he grinned, "Alexander Dedrick. Can I buy you a drink... Um...?"
"Oh, it's Eren. I think it's best you only know my first name." Shaking his hand, I could tell by his firm grip that he worked out. After a couple of hours of chatting and conversing, I felt a little closer to Alex. He told me what he could; I explained to him what I could about myself.
"It's nice not to be recognised here," he slipped my drink to me and grabbed his happily, looked down at it with a sense of joy. "Out there is all media and rumours but being here with you Eren, it's probably the best thing that's happened to me since... I was born."
"It was nice to have a conversation without drama for once," I threw my head back and allowed my drink to slip effortlessly down my throat.
"I gotta go now but... can I have your number?" Alex looked at my with eyes filled to the brim with hope, causing guilt to resonate deep within me. I felt extremely guilty.
"Im kinda seeing someone right now..." Then it hit me, "But I don't think that's going to last very long, so why now? Here."
"If you want, we can start of as friends- I mean, break ups can be a long and hard experience."
"Yeah. I bet you know that first hand."
"I'll see you around Eren," he waved.
"You too, Alex." I replied. There was no reason to tell Levi about this... Right?

A/N
This is only a small chapter, I felt that you deserved this much considering the amount of time it's taken me to update.  Plus I won't be saying much in this note, just that I'm going to be uploading something a lot longer with a lot of explanations soon. So please read that.
