Lucifer is loved by many people, it's not a secret.
But who'd love him? An egoistical crybaby.
"I will love you."
Sandalphon didn't even realise he had voiced his thought outloud, let alone hear Lucifer footstep approaching him on the swing at the park that they used to play together when they were a child. Hearing such confession make him surprised and he crane his neck so fast that it'd twist to see Lucifer, panting even harder than before, approached him and sat on the swing next to him.
"...what?"
"You questioned who would love you, so I answered. I said, I would." He said, still with the gentle smile that he always know despite the fatigue.
Sandalphon is happy, but the joy was only for a split second before his stomach churned. "You should tell that to her. I'm sure she'd be happy."
"Her?"
He could hear genuine confusion from Lucifer's tone. But he refuse to see his face, his lip, that has kissed that girl.
"Yes."
"I don't understand--"
"I saw it, you kissed a girl in the backyard a few days ago." He paused. "Sorry, Lucifer. ...I don't think I'm good enough for you."
And he left.
