WHAT IF

Chapter 12: Summer

The end of the school year came fairly quickly and summer was upon them. Colin, Logan and Finn came home from boarding school and they were spending ninety percent of their time at the McCrae mansion. Rory, Paris and Lane had also been spending much of the summer around the house. They all decided to do a movie night on Andrew and Lorelai's date night. Colin noticed Rory and Logan continuously exchanging looks as he ordered the Chinese food. Rory was talking to Lane and Paris while They waited on the food. "Wow, have you seen how Hot Logan has gotten I've pretty much always had a crush on him but damn." "Rory you can't go there, Colin will flip." Lane said. "Well maybe it's time Colin doesn't know everything about me." Rory laughed slightly. "But you guys are so close you know everything about eachother." Paris said surprised. "I know." Rory agreed deep in thought. They all headed into the media room and it didn't go unnoticed to Colin that Rory ended up on the same couch as Logan. Lane and Paris ended up on the other couch and Colin and Finn took the recliners. Once they had popcorn, candy, the food they had ordered and other snacks they started one of their favorite movies Willy Wonka which would be followed by Alice in Wonderland. Lane and Paris couldn't help but noticing how close Rory had gotten to Logan and snickered a bit knowing of Rory's crush. Rory got up and headed to the restroom about half way through the movie, nobody except Logan noticing. Coming out of the restroom she practically ran into Logan who was waiting for her. "I've noticed you staring at me today." He smiled. "Oh yeah? I could say the same." She laughed as he leaned in and kissed her. "Logan" she started but then kissed him back. "Someone's gonna walk out here and see us we need to go back to the movie." Rory said breaking away from their make out session. "Mmm, okay." He agreed letting her head back in first and following shortly after. They finished watching Willy Wonka and started Alice in Wonderland. By the middle of Alice in Wonderland Rory was curled into Logan's side and had het fingers interlaced with his. Every one except for Logan, Rory and Colin had passed out, but Rory was on the verge of sleep. Colin waited until he knew she was out and turned to Logan. "What the fuck man?" He said sounding slightly harsh. "What?" Logan asked slightly confused. "That's my little sister Logan and I know how you are with girls. She's not like the bimbos I've seen you with." Colin said with a bite. "I know she's not Colin, she's special. I actually like her." Logan said sincerely. "Whatever man, I can't control you or her but if you hurt my sister I'll kill you." Colin said knowing if it was going to happen he couldn't interfere his sister had definitely grown up being almost 16.
They all fell asleep where they were and Rory woke the next morning cuddled tight to Logan's side with his arms tightly around her. They all got up and had breakfast. "Well I'm gonna go take my shower and get dressed and then we can head to the mall." Rory told Lane and Paris as she headed towards the stairs. She got to the top of the stairs and felt arms around her waste and then lips on the side of her neck. "Logan, what are you?" She started but then was silenced by his lips on hers. "We leave back to school in three weeks I would love to spend some time with you before I leave." He admitted. "I'd like that too." She nodded with her lips still tingling from the kiss.
Rory and Logan spent some time with everybody and even some alone time over the next three weeks. Sneaking kisses when they could. They said goodbye at the airport where the boys were headed back to school. For Rory it was harder than usual because this time not only would she miss her brother, her best friend, but this time she would miss Logan terribly.
