Alas wasn’t expecting what he heard from the old man but thought about the cruelty of his parents towards him, and accepted the worst.  As Alas crossed the hills, he was amazed by the scenery of tall buildings and the traffic of the city.
Alas started searching for job everywhere, he spend most of his time running around offices, asking people on streets address of NGOs and after a long struggle of three days he one day bumped into a manager of a very well known NGO where alas gave his CV but he was rejected by the registration office.
The man apologized for not being cautious, to which Alas nodded, signaling he was alright. The man paused and said “excuse me I have seen you somewhere?- after a brief moment- are you Alas? Your picture was in the office dustbin?  Alas figured out where his CV was delivered to, “Well Sir I had submitted my CV for an job interview but the lady in office rejected me even before giving me a chance”.
The manager surprised, apologized again for such an inconveniences- “I’m really sorry for her behavior please come with me” and both of them turned and walked towards the office. The manager as he entered the office started at the desk lady, and she was shocked to see Alas standing beside him.  “Care to give an explanation”? The manager asked in a harsh tone.
The desk lady got embarrassed and in a low voice replied “Sir he is a transgender, so I thought he is ineligible for an interview”, to which the manager got even angrier and warned her of her termination letter from the organization. The lady in embarrassment stood up and left the office.
The manager conducted a brief interview and was happy to see Alas’s skills and knowledge. You are a marvelous student, we need people like you. Even though Alas didn’t have much work experience, his character and personality got him the Job. Excited and happy, Alas thanked the manager and left.
Alas called his aunt and gave her good news “hello mother, I just got hired for a very good job here due to your prayers thank you so much mother”.  His aunt was flooded with joy, and wished him good luck. As days passed Alas got known in the city due to his humanitarian service for people and his real parents got to know about him, as they lived in the same city.
On hearing his name his mother was surprised, and saddened by the decision she made to abandon her child. The father still disliked him, and made sure his mother didn’t contact him, so he decided to move to a new city. Alas mother said to herself “I wish we had kept him with us, our Son has grown to be a great person, and may god bless that woman who had been taking care of my son”, and with tears in her eyes, left the city.
As Alas travelled around he shared his story with people to raise awareness and respect for his kind of people, everyone was proud of him and alas concluded his national speech saying “education is useless unless we have humanity so please light up the humanity inside each of us”. By saying these words this story comes to an end, as he step downed from the stage, after receiving the International Peace Prize for his efforts.
