Rest

Callen watched as the demon flew off into a portal now well beyond his reach.

Tsk! It's no use that demon won't listen. But my master comes first. She is in critical condition. She feels so fragile in my arms. How could anyone render my master in this state? The slayer of thousands? But then again being as strong as she is, I know she can pull through this. 

"Hang in there Master"

For now I'll take her back. Her shop is not far from the forest. I can make it.

By the time I arrived back at the workshop, My master's teacher, the famous blacksmith, Anna was already there waiting. She is known to be the tamer of dragons and crafted the legendary crystal sword. She created a smililar one of iron and carry it on her side. 

This green haired woman has the respect of even my creator, the Pheonix itself. Just to be safe I refer to her as 'Miss Anna"

"Miss Anna!"

It's obvious that she won't be pleased seeing my master like this.

"How is she?"

Miss Anna has taken care of her wounds and settled my master on her bed. Miss Anna shook her head and sighed.

"Not good she's taken several massive damage. Mainly on her back and face. Its a miracle that she hasn't bled to death."

It's a miracle indeed. If only I was by her side..

"Don't worry. She's stable for now. With lots of rest, she should heal up soon. However the ones on her back are deep so they'll most likely reopen if she were to move around too much"

"I see"

"With her broken left arm she should ward off working for a while"

Injuries like those didn't stop her when she fractured her right and broke her left arm last year. 

"Still... It's rare to see her like this. Do you know hoe she ened up like this?"

I shook my head.

"No idea"

It's frusterating to see my Master like this and not even knowing the reason why.That is precicely what I would like to know. I need to find that demon from earlier. If only I could get a hold of him.

"Take care of my pupil Callen"

I can feel her pressure on my shoulder

"Of course. No need to tell me twice"

As if i will let my master die

"I know you care but it's about time you take your role as her familiar more seriously"

That kind of remark stings. But I will hold my frsutration as I lead you to the entrance. My master comes first and foremost.  

"I'll give your regards to Master when she wakes"

"It's fine since I'll be back tommorrow. Well I'll be leaving now. See ya!"

"Goodbye"

Being known as the tamer of dragons, she rode off with her familiar, one of the most powerful no doubt. 

Miss Anna...

 You may have taught my master the ropes when she entered this world but she's an excellent blacksmith now. Her skills are even on par with yours. I know she is better than this. 

Yet why is she like this now?

Why do I see you so frail? I have no answers. 

"All I can do now is be by your side as you rest"
