Marionettes POV
My fingers tapped me knee. My heart raced from inside my chest. I stared up at the sink to see the stick.
I hadn't been feeling good for a week now and I was hoping for it to be a common cold. However Alta told me I should take a test to be on the safe side.
So here I was. Sitting inside my bathroom on the toilet starring at the stick.
Please be negative, please be negative!
My direction changed to my phone, when the alarm went off. I shakingly grab the stick and close my eyes.
"Please be negative, please be negative." I whispered to my self. I open my eyes and look down at it.
Adrien's POV
"Mari I home!" I scream out to my girlfriend as I walk into the house. I put my keys on the hook.
"Hi Adrien. How was work?" She says from the living room. She's sitting on the couch. Her hands Inbetween her legs and her eyes downward.
"Good." I spoke. I advance toward her. "You okay, babe?" She looks at me and gives me a smile.
"We need to talk." She spoke. My heart starts to race.
"What is it? Are you okay?" I asked. I get down in front of her and grab her hands in mine. I rub my thumb over the back of them. Her eyes starring at the ground. Her bangs covering her forehead.
"Adrien..... " She looks at me with tears falling down her face. "I'm pregnant." I froze. She just stared at me.
"Wh-what?" Is all I get out. She swallows and breathes out shakingly.
"I'm pregnant." She says again. My lips tug up into a smile and wrap my arms around her in a tight hug as tears fell out of my eyes.
"Oh, Mari this is the best news ever!!" I yelled. "You have no idea how happy I am."
"Adrien please stop." She spoke. I release her.
"I'm sorry did I hurt you?" I ask.
"No, no it's not that. We just have an issue." She said. I look at her.
"I-I-I don't understand. What-" I start.
"Don't make this harder than it has to be." She spoke. I just look at her. "Adrien.... I don't want the baby." I just freeze. I get up and let her go. "Adrien let me explain!" I stopped at the living room door. She got up from the couch and was holding her chest.
"Explain?" I ask looking at her. "Explain what? How you don't want our child?"
"I do Adrien!" She screamed. "I do want your child! Heck I want to have a family with you!" I just stare at her.
"Forgive me if I don't believe you." I spoke.
"It's true Adrien!" She screamed. She grabbed her stomach. "But this, this is a mistake." I look at her with a glare.
"A mistake?" I screamed. "You think of this as a mistake?"
"Yes I do!" She screamed. "I'm 18 Adrien. We're 18. We are not old enough to take care of a child." My heart races as I grab the wall. "We're not financially ready-"
"Financially ready?" I asked her. I get off the wall. "I'm a model for gods sake! I am the heir to the Agreste fortune! I have more money than it takes to raise one child!"
"But what is your dad gonna say?" She asked. "Would he like it if his son had a child when he was still a child himself?"
"I'M NOT A CHILD!" I screamed.
"YOU STILL SIT THERE AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES LIKE YOU DID WHEN YOU WERE 14!" She screamed at me. "YOU LAUGH AT CHILDISH JOKES AND YOU STILL PULL PRANKS ON PEOPLE ADRIEN! LIKE A CHILD!" I look at her. "Before we have a kid, you need to mature."
"And that's what a kid will do to me." I spoke. "It will make me grow up!" By this time we both have tears flowing down our faces. Mari wipes her face.
"I'm not keeping it." She said.
"Yes you are." I said.
"IT'S MY BODY!" She screamed. I punched the wall and faced her.
"IT'S MY CHILD!" I screamed. "I GET A SAY IN WHAT HAPPENS!" She just looks at me. I take a second to compose myself. I walk over to her and grab her hands but she pulls them away. "Mari, please."
"No, Adrien. No." She spoke. She looked me in the eyes. "I'm not having this baby." The next word I said I wish I could take back.
"Maybe Chloe is better than you."
That earned me a hard punch in the face. I fell back on the glass table. It flipped and the glass shattered as I hit the floor.
"Adrien, I'm sorry. I lost my temper." Mari sobbed. She tried to help me up, but I just got up and went to the room. "Adrien?" She followed me. "Adrien?" I opened a duffle bag. "What are you doing?" I didn't answer her. "Please stop." She grabbed my hands.
"What if your mom ended you?" I asked her. She froze. "What if your mom terminated you when you were still inside her?" I let a couple of tears fall. "If she did, there'd be no Ladybug to save us all. There'd be no Mari, to show me friendship." I gripped her hands in mine. "Please, Mari reconsider this." I look into her bluebell eyes in hope for an answer.
"Fine." She said. I smile. "I won't terminate the pregnancy." I go to hug her but she stops me. I look at her. "But I'm terminating this relationship." I froze at those words. "I will have this baby, but after that. I don't want to see you or it again. I don't want to talk to you again. I don't even want to hear from you again." She looks at me. No tears or anything. She walks out the door. While I just watch.
