Why are you so mean to your daughter?

…Mean to my daughter? I am not mean to my daughter. In fact, I would say I’m very nice to my daughter. Did I name her as soon as I saw her? No. In fact, I welcomed her to the Seelie Court with mostly-open arms. That should mean a great deal to her.

Do you have any regrets?

None. To have regrets, I’d have to think about the past. And that’s such a waste of time.

Do you see any of yourself in Selkie?

Oh, so much. So very much. Selkie is entirely Seelie. She’ll like her life much better once she accepts that.

Why are there bells sewn into faerie clothing?

Bells are only sewn into Seelie clothing, not all faerie clothing. The chiming bells are the symbol of the Seelie Court. The symbol of our absolute power, of our invincibility. All of the creatures of the Otherworld know us by the chiming of our bells.
