Short Sories

So Loud..

I collapsed onto the soft material that was my bed. My eyes were heavy and my breathing was rough and shallow. A grunt escaped my mouth as I tried to get comfortable.

In just a few minutes, I was gone.

A light snore.

Almost an eerie silences.

FLASH!

"Mummy. Daddy. Why is it so loud..?"

So.. so loud..too loud..!

There were loud bangs and shouting from outside of the room, you can hear it through the wall. There was a sudden warmth, a loving and protective warmth.

Nuzzling my nose into the arms of mummy, later looking up at her.

"Mummy..?"

Her.. her face.

FLASH!

Slowly push the door and....

There was a small creak as my soft palms pushed the door open.

Glancing in, it was possible to see what was going.

I couldn't make it what they were shout-whispering to each other but it was obvious that the two were arguing..

So loud..

My eyes clenched close.

"Are you crazy! We can't do that.. !" He shout at mummy.

I knew this was my queue to leave..

But..

My hands slowly pulled away from the now warm spot on the door.

My feet fluttered onto the floor with each step I took away from the room.

FLASH!

"Get back over here!"

"No! How dare you think it's alright to trick me like that then pretend nothing happened!"

My clenched fists cause my nails to dig into my warm skin.

"Please Na--"

FLASH!

There was sweat dripping down from my forehead. So hot, so... loud..

My teeth gritted against each other, my hand balled into a fist.

"Why won't you just let me do this, Father? Why won't you just trust me? !"

"Just no! I will not allow this!"

A vein looked like it was gonna pop out of his head.

But he still kept his cool.

Mother was in the background, clenching at her chest, her face.. She looked.. disappointed..? Sad..?

My feet stomped away, taking me with them.

My hand reached the ice cold handle for the door.

There was a loud creek.

Taking a quick glance back at him, I noticed something strange about his expression.

Sad..? Mad..? ..disappointed....?

The door closed behind me with a - slam!

Loud..

A long, deep sigh escaped my mouth.

FLASH!

The pen dragged against the ragged material.

People were arguing, whispering, talking behind me.

They're being chaotic..

Dot.

FLASH!

My chest hurt so much..

It smelled so bad..

There's mud everywhere..

I could hear groaning from behind me.

I turned towards them.

So many people.

My eyes tracked down and focused onto a man.

He looked so tired.

"What's going on here??"

I shoved through the crowd.

Checking the man.

Why is it so loud..

"Pull yourselves together! Keep going!!"

I shout at the top of my lungs.

I carried the man onto my shoulders, his weight began hurting my back.

FLASH!

Bang!

Tears escaped my eyes.

People were rushing around me.

So loud.

There was an eerie, sharp sound that slowly got louder.

I sighed.

...I guess.. this is goodbye...

This was for a school, creative writing assignment. I actually really liked it, even if my teacher won't, and decided to post it.
