Dang it. Usually right now I would be jumping out of my seat for the bell to ring. Then again, I cant go to lunch, and to make it worse I have to be in detention with Mr. Dallas. Right now I am in Spanish with Mrs. Candy. How should I describe her? I could totally see her being best friends with my mom, or even me. She is a petite brunette, with short curly hair. Apparently she is a strict teacher, but I like her a lot.. Well so far I do.

“Jaquelin, how is your first day so far?” Mrs. Candy said with a warming smile.

I replied, “Eh not so great. I mean my teachers are great, and I already got some new friends. But I have lunch detention next hour.”

She laughed, “Lunch detention? How did you do that, who is your teacher?”

I did not want to even say his name aloud, “Mr. Dallas”

“Oh honey, you can call him Coach Dallas. All the other students like to. You must’ve really done something bad for him to give you detention on your first day. He never gives out detention slips.“

I laughed, “Well what can I say, I guess he just doesn’t like me.”

“I am sure he does, so far as I can tell you are a very respectable student.” She nodded approvingly.

“Thank you so much, Mrs. Candy, I will be sure to tell him your thoughts.” I joked lightly.

After a few talks back and forth, I gathered my things for detention. Books, pencil, and paper.

DING. DING. DING. DING

Students in my class started to run out and I could hear teachers yelling at them. I slowly made my way to my death chamber. As soon as I got to the door, I stopped. My whole demeanor changed, if he gets to have fun by giving me detention, why not tease him?

I walked in. At first I didn’t see him, but then he popped out from under his desk.

“Coach Dallas, I am here at your request.” I sarcastically said.

He chuckled, “Hello beautiful.”

I rolled my eyes, “Mr. Dallas don’t say things like that.”

He walked up closer to me, “I thought I was Coach Dallas, and I can say my opinion anytime I want. You are beautiful, so I will voice it.”

My goodness, this is going to be one fun detention. “Okay… what if I voiced mine?”

He smirked, “You can say anything you want, I won’t hold it against you.”
