1 - Introductions

ALEXA'S P. O. V.

25 minutes.... Just 25 minutes more until this period ends. This horrible English class with Mrs R. Macky. She is the worst English teacher in the history of English teachers. She can't even speak English properly let alone teach us...

While I'm here and since I've got nothing to do (because I hate English), let me introduce myself...

My name is Alexa Black. I go to Riverside High, home of the Mighty River Crabs. Totally NOT coincidental at all. I am 18 years old, which makes me a senior and that means that this is my last year in this hell hole.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!

I love reading books, listening to music, eating & watching movies. Yep... Just your average American high school girl. I'm classified as a nerd by some people who don't even have a brain the size of half a pea but I'm proud to be a nerd. At least I don't try to be fake just to fit in when I know I don't belong.

I'm about 5'6, waist length curly light brown hair and piercing green eyes (as I'm told). I have two of the best friends in the whole entire galaxy. Their names are Emily Ramsey and Luke Gomez.

We were all together in kindergarten and we were inseparable from the time we met. I love them to bits! I don't know what I would do without my two goofy bff's.

RING!!! RING !!! RING!!!

Finally! I'm out of prison. Fresh air at last!

It's now lunch time. I can see my 2 goofy friends at the table in the back, near the window. That's where we usually sit.

Unlike me, my Luke and Emily actually have a social life. They are popular and well known. They still have time for me though and I'm so grateful for that. People do know me but only as Emily's and Luke's nerd friend. That's doesn't matter though because I'm really afraid of being the center of attention.

I can hear them from here. "I bet you 5 bucks I can down this whole sandwich faster than you ever could!", Luke says to Emily with a competitive face on.

"You're on!", Emily says and starts to goblet up her sandwich as fast as she can with no warning.

"That's unfair! You didn't say go!", Luke whines like a 5 year old.

"Go", Emily says with a triumphant smile as she finishes up whatevers left of her sandwich.

Luke just crosses his arms in front of his chest and slouches in his chair, looking like a child in an ice cream shop who just got told that he couldn't have any ice cream.

I laugh at his expression as I make my way across the cafeteria to the table. "Hey Em, hey Luke.", I say as I sit down. "Hey Lexa", they say together.

"Emily is such a cheat!!!", Luke says.

"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"

"Guys!!", I say, and they look up from their little debate, "I heard you two from across the cafeteria. Em, you have to admit, you did cheat a little.", Luke nods in agreement.

"Okay fine! Maybe I did a teeny bit but I still want my 5 bucks Luke."

"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!"

"GUYS!!! I swear, you two are 5 year old's stuck in an 18 year old's body!"

At that very moment I see them walk in. The so called 'bad boy group' with Hunter Riley at the head of the group as always.

If there is one thing that I absolutely hate, it is players and Hunter is the player of players
