Alexa's pov
I stand completely in shock at the fact that Hunter Riley is pulling up, in his extremely gorgeous car, next to me. What could he possibly want?
He rolls down the window and looks expectedly at me as he says "Well.... We don't have all day so are you coming or not?"
Who in the hell does this boy think he's talking to?
"Uhm.. I'm sorry but Pimp Lane is on the other side of town hun", I comment as I look forward and try to ignore him. Luke is so dead if he doesn't come in the next few minutes!
He stares at me in shock while I try to hide my amusement. What? He didn't think that I was going to willingly get in a car with a stranger did he? Ohh honey you have another thing coming if you thought I would.
"What?! I'll have you know I do extremely well in that department thank you very much!", he states with an arrogant smirk on his face.
"That's not what I heard", I whisper to myself, but, by the look on his face it seems that he might have heard me. Whoops..
"You know what, I don't have time for this. Just get in. Luke asked if I could take you to the mall or something. So... Here I am.", he rudely states while I look at him with pure distaste.
" Whatever, let's just get this over with.", I say as my anger builds towards Luke. Ohhh you're so dead tomorrow Lukey boy!
I jump in the passengers seat and adjust my seat belt as he starts racing off like a lunatic on drugs. Just great! Well... At least I'll be there early so I can get the book I wanted.
Hunter turns on the radio and one of my favorite songs, Fire on Fire by Sam Smith starts playing. I start humming along to the lyrics as we drive past the houses.
Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
With this much desire
Together we're winners
They say that we're out of control and some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythm
Coz when you unfold me
And tell me you love me
And look at my eyes
You are perfection
My only direction
It's fire on fire
I realize I was full on singing as the song went on and Hunter was just staring at me the whole time. I feel the heat rush to my cheeks as I stare at my hands not being able to say anything. I've hardly ever sang in front of anyone let alone my family so singing in front of Hunter was surprising. I knew I had a nice voice but I was always so shy.
"I've never heard you sing before, you should do it more often.", he comments and slightly smiles . Not a smirk but an actual smile. I've always seen him smirking and even though he admittedly looked hot with a smirk on his face, his boyish looks are more noticeable when he smiles and it makes him look so young and carefree.
Where is all this coming from? Its probably just the music messing with my head.
"Thanks," I chuckle a little, "and I usually don't sing in front of anyone so I guess today was your lucky day."
"Yeah I guess it was" he says with a smirk. I turn towards the window and see that we're at the mall. Finally!
"Thanks for the ride I guess.", I hesitate and step out of the car. Maybe, just maybe I was too quick to judge him.
