I climbed up the vines that were grown against the castle. I saw a light up in a window and climbed to it.

Once I got close enough to the window, I slowly raised my head up to see inside. Fortunutely there was no one in this room. I climbed up and over the edge of the window landing on the marble floor.

I looked around and saw a bed. A few feet away a mirror sat. And next to it was a purple stained glass table. And on that table was something I needed.

The Queens Crown.

I opened a satchel that was tied around my belt, but noticed something. A jewlery box that was already opened on the table. I thought

"Now why would The Queen just leave that open?"

I stepped back knowing something was wrong. The Queen wouldnt just leave her jewlery box open next to a window.

"Skye. Dear, I hoped we wouldn't meet like this"

I turned around and The Queen was standing in the doorway staring at me.

"Regina, I- I just-"

"Oh Hush Child I know what you wanted" Regina said in a soft voice.

"Please, I didn't mean any harm. I just-" I sighed.

"I was going to steal your crown and sell it"

"Oh I know what you were going to do Skye"

"Forgive me for asking, Regina, but you acting really calm about this"

"Well the thing is, Skye, I wanted to offer you something much more than the crown. How would you like to stay here with me in this palace?"

"Regina, I-I'm flattered but, I have a brother. I have a family. I cant just leave them like that"

"Skye, Darling,"

Regina walked over to me putting her hands on my shoulders.

"Your father, Killian, do you really think that he loves you?"

"Of Course he does. I mean, I think be does"

"If he really loved you, he would of kept his word on keeping guard by the gate"

"W- what?"

I walked over to the window and looked at the gate. Killian was nowhere to be found.

"He left you, so he could go to the bar and get drunk"

Regina walked me over to the mirror.

"Did you know that I always wanted a daughter, Skye?"

"What about Snow White?"

"She is not my daughter! She ruined my life. But I know you wouldn't."

"Regina I'm sorry, but I hope you understand that I have to take care of my family"

"Ah Skye. You remind me a lot of your mother. You have the same long blonde curly hair, the same violet eyes, and she always put family first"

Regina stroked my hair.

"I-I have to go"

I got up and started heading for the window.

"Skye! Aren't you forgetting something?"

"What?"

I turned around.

Regina picked up the crown from the silk pillow it was resting on, and started walking towards me.

"Here. Take it"

"Your giving it to me?"

"If your not going to stay with me, its the least I can do"

I took the crown and climbed out the window.

I held the crown in my hand, as I walked down the marble walkway back towards the gate.

I thought of what I had done. Did she play some trick on me? that didn't matter.

I needed to find my father.
