Striding confidently into the foyer of Tetsu Tech, Kana grinned at the company's main receptionist.

"Good afternoon, Hidaka!"
"Afternoon, Su." He nodded, studying the off-white shirt, the grey and white plaid skirt, the matching grey heels and bag, before looking to up at her once more. "Here's your badge." Acknowledging his words with a quiet hum, Kana accepted the badge held out to her, looking at her photo and the fake name below it before hanging the lanyard around her neck. "That's Miss Tetsu's coffee, I presume?" Hidaka cocked his head to the side as though he wasn't fully aware that this woman was his CEO.
"Her tea, actually. She's not really a coffee person. I thought you knew that?" Kana tilted her head in return, the charade making her smile a little brighter: something about the fact that most people in this building had no idea she was their boss tickled her humour endlessly. "I'm going to give it to her and then work on some reports."

"Of course. Stay out of trouble and don't bother Miss Tetsu too much, you pesky little intern." The fondness in Hidaka's voice told her he was only joking, and that made her chuckle.

"No promises!"

Kana settled into her office after a short elevator ride up to the top floor and a quick greeting to her secretary, Takara. Her cup of tea was placed on the designated coaster on the left side of her desk, her bag dumped somewhere by the window. Kana straightened out her skirt as she sat, then looked at the pile of papers in front of her. Ugh, now she had to work. How did Kaiba do this all day? With a huff, the blonde set to work on the reports.

Forty minutes later, Kana gave up on the documents with a groan and pushed them to the side. This was not what she'd expected when she accepted the work proposal from her investor. She had been excited at the prospect - herself, a simple engineer, getting an offer to work with such a high profile businessman? It was a dream come true. She had been envisioning one-on-one sessions, working side by side on her inventions, releasing products together, having joy in what they did. Not... this. The amount of paperwork she had to do as a CEO was unexpected. She'd much rather be down in her labs, tinkering and creating.

Nimble fingers ran through strands of platinum hair as she looked for something else to do instead. Flicking through her email, Kana found that the coding department had uploaded a near-finished copy of the game onto the company servers for her to look at. This meant that when the phone rang a little later, it was picked up absentmindedly, her mind still focused on the game code, her voice a distracted monotone.

"Kana."
"Ah, just the woman I wanted!" With a blink, Kana realised just who had called her.
"Mr Pegasus. What can I do for you?" Pulling away from her laptop, she put her full focus into the conversation.
"Our dear Seto Kaiba has destroyed the fourth Blue Eyes White Dragon card and suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of little Yugi Muto. I need you to push your product release to the nearest viable date and further distract him for me. Can you do that, dear?" The voice on the other end of the line was oddly cheerful, not something she expected as they were merely acquaintances.

"Of... course, Mr Pegasus." As dubious as his request was, who was she to deny her chief investor? This was the man that gave her everything she had dreamed of: high tech labs, the tools to develop and produce top of the line virtual reality technology, a company of her own, and the opportunity to work alongside him - the inventor of Duel Monsters. "I'll get working on it right away, sir."
"Good girl." With that, the line went dead.

Kana sighed as she put the phone down. It was fortunate that they were in the last stages of production, so perhaps if she gave a hand and encouraged them, they could move along. With the decision made, she tied her hair up into a messy bun and stood. After grabbing her mobile from the desk, Kana walked out of her office.
