Bryce hesitated to even breathe for he was scared that even an inhale of oxygen would be enough for the shorter boy to run away. So instead, he tightned his hold on Ohm as he stood still, the atmosphere around them quiet except for the tv spokesman talking in the background. Even the birds outside have seemed to have gone silent. This wasn't unusual for Bryce surprisingly. Ohm did have his moments like this, although they were extremely rare moments. Bryce can only recall this happening only 5 times, this making it the 6th. Once when they first met, another when his mother died, yet another when both friends got into an argument, another when Bryce tried to catch Ohm without his bandanna, their was also the incident at Ohm's locker, and now finally this. And along with the amount of emotions Ohm has displayed over the course of nearly 3 days, Bryce had actually started listing the different kinds of emotions that Ohm hasn't expressed until now, laughter at the top of his list in big bold letters. But nevermind what Bryce thought, because right now it was what Ohm thought. What Ohm felt and how Bryce was going to make it better like any best friend would. So start things off, Bryce started with a comforting hug as well as muttering soothing words to the shorter male as he sat them both down on the couch. And this went on for several minutes, Ohm's head buried against Bryce's chest as the other tightly embraced him while calmy whispering sweet nothings into his ear ,which Bryce couldn't tell was helping or just making Ohm uncomfortable, But he did so anyways.

Bryce sighed in relief once Ohm peeled himself off his chest and made eye contact with him, well minus the badanna covering his eyes. He smiled warmly as he looked down at his best friend who now gave him a calm expression, well emotionless expression to most people, but calm to Bryce. Hell, he could still be distraught internally for all that Bryce knew, but he really hoped that wasn't the case. And it wasn't. Thankfully, Ohm was able to calm down thanks to Bryce's motherly instincts. Well except for the part where he whispered into his ear. He couldn't tell if that was a mother thing to do or not. He also couldn't tell if his best friend meant that as a reassuring way or a way to get close to him. Either way, it made Ohm uncomfortable. But he absolutely refused to show that to his best friend, because all in all he was just trying to comfort him, right?

Ohm decided to shrug off the newly formed questions in his mind as he embraced Bryce again as a thank you. Thankfully Bryce got the message and hugged Ohm back but tighter. The once tense atmosphere had turned peaceful and it was as if the entire world has gone back to normal. The two boys finally let go of each other after what felt like forever and smiled at each other, Bryce's being more visible than Ohm's, and spent their whole Saturday together, forgetting yet another incident.

They both had decided to procrastinate on doing their homework, and instead go to Ohm's house and play video games. They spent nearly a whole day doing nothing but fool around and feast on some hotdogs that Ohm's uncle had prepared for them. It was as if nothing could've gone wrong, or at least Bryce thought.

Both boys were in the middle of a deep conversation about the sky when it happened. Bryce had asked about how humanity lived with light in the past. How the orb of light in the sky called the sun was able to illuminate the earth for thousands of years without even tiring. Or that is before that light suddenly vanished. Bryce had insisted that the sun had in fact never existed and that our ancestors simply couldn't distinguish fire from the "sun". He also said something about ancient history but Ohm was hardly paying attention. Because something in him was screaming Those are all lies at the top of its lungs. And with that, Ohm suddenly felt light-headed, making him queasy. Bryce saw this and immediately ran to Ohm and tried to snap him out of it. "Ohm! Ohm, buddy, are you okay?! Hold on, I'm getting your uncle!!", Bryce frantically yelled as he ran out of the room in search for Ohm's uncle. Ohm only remembered the worried look on Bryce's face and him running out of the room until he fell to the floor unconscious.

Bryce wasn't even down the first few steps when he heard the loud thump of Ohm's unconscious body falling to the floor. He quickly ran back to him and checked his body for any injuries before picking him up 'bridal style' and rushing down the stairs. He silently crossed his fingers, hoping for Ohm to be okay as he carefully lay Ohm on the living room couch. And with a last look at the unconscious boy, he turned to look for the boy's relative.

Bryce frantically looked everywhere but eventually gave up and left it as his uncle probably left for work or something. So instead, he took out any type of medicine that Ohm might need by the time he wakes up and headed back towards him.

***

It had been almost an hour, and Ohm still hadn't woken up. To say that Bryce was worried, was far from that. His heart couldn't stop pounding as he watched his unconscious body on the couch. His mind has also decided to abandon him as absurd thoughts toyed with him.

What if he doesn't wake up?

Why isn't he waking up?

How is his dog sleeping at a time like this?

Did he tie his bandanna too tight?

Bryce lifted his head in wonder at his last thought. Would Ohm be okay with that? Or would he hate him forever? Bryce tried blocking out the worst possible outcomes as he reached for the bandanna with a shaky hand. Never in a million years has he ever thought that he would be able to see his face in a situation like this. He always thought that it would be in a more convenient time, probably on his mother's death anniversary. Don't get him wrong, he hated seeing him mopey and sad. But when it came to comforting him, it was an invitation he just couldn't resist. The thoughtful yet emotionless look he would receive when trying to lighten the mood, the warmth of him every time Bryce pulled him into a hug, and the adorable sniffles he would let out every time he would cry.

Bryce froze altogether. He has never described Ohm in such a matter. Bryce looked at the unconscious body once more, his hand only centimeters away from the fabric. Has he always looked this perfect? His mind was going crazy and he wasn't able to do anything about the manner. He tried to focus on his hand as it floated right above the fabric, but his eyes decided to betray him as his eyes traveled down towards Ohm's lips.

So pretty...

So luscious...

So plump...

"Stop it!", Bryce shouted at the top of his lungs. He gripped his head in frustration and confusion. What were these thoughts? What the hell was wrong with him? Why was he describing his best friend in such a manner? Bryce gripped his head tighter as he let out another shout of frustration. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know what to think or say. All he could do was look at the ground in shame. Why was he going mad on his own friend? Would Ohm be able to realize every little feature that Bryce sees? Would he even return his feelings? It didn't matter because...

It will all soon be mine...

An evil laugh went off somewhere in the back of Bryce's head as he looked at the sleeping beauty. He let out a small smile full of hope while his eyes told another emotion, want.
