Prologue

"Dude, get up." Zack felt a pillow hit his face and he slowly opened his eyes.

"No," he said in a groggly tone. It was too early and far too bright outside of his cozy bunk for him to move. He buried his face into his small mattress, praying that Tony would walk away and give him a little more time to sleep. He eventually dozed back to sleep, staying content for a few more hours.

When he woke up again, he was alone in the bus. There was a note taped to the divider between his bunk and Daniel's.

"Zack,

Telle, D, Luke and I all decided to adventure. Do whatever dragons do but be back by 4:30.

-T"

Zack crumbled the paper and tossed it in the trash can as he walked back to grab clothes. He didn't know what to do, so he quickly changed and stepped off into the chilly Missouri air.

Zack had never been to Missouri other than in St. Louis but they were in a small town. He supposed they had stopped here because sometimes in between shows they liked to stop and explore. The town was nice, nothing like a city, but had cute streetlights and little shops. He decided he would walk around to occupy time and started towards the nearest coffee shop.

He made sure to take his surroundings around him as he held onto the small beverage. He noticed a clothing store and a bookstore, a few people going to work or walking dogs. He thought he might like this town, it seemed quiet, and if he could figure out the name, he might come back here one day.
