Eliza
Softly creeping down the stairs of my one bedroom apartment, I let myself outside. The Missouri air was still a little chilly and I mentally cursed myself for forgetting my jacket. As I walked, I wrapped my arms around myself, moving quickly into the quiet bookstore. This was my escape, and being too cheap to buy books, I would read them in the store. Sometimes it took a few days, but I was a master at hiding and books are my favorite.
The door opened smoothly, a small ding from a bell echoed and the scent of cinnamon hit my nose. I looked around, taking in my surroundings even though I knew this place like the back of my hand. It was demly lit, aisles of books and antique chairs were around the store. It was a comfy little place and they served breakfast in the mornings. What could be a better place?
Walking over to the counter, Eddie spun around.
"Helllllo Miss. Eliza!" He was a little too cheery, way too creepy and not someone I could spend a lot of time around.
"You're looking ravishing this morning." he said as he handed me a small piece of toast and a cup of tea.
"You're still a little weirdo, Eddie." I said with some humor in my voice and he smiled. I mentally praised him for the tea he makes in the morning though. It was strong brewed, with a shot of milk and three sugar cubes. He might be a creepoid, but he makes great tea.
Settling into my cozy window seat, I sipped from my tea and opened "Looking for Alaska" by John Green. I loved this book, in fact, I adored this book. I read it whenever I had nothing left to read and I even owned it. But I was partical to this certain copy and Eddie kept it for me to read here. I pushed my bangs out of my face and glanced out of the window, seeing an attractive guy sitting in the coffee shop. I didn't pay an incredible amount of attention to him, sinking myself back into my book and letting it swallow me whole.
A few hours later, after I was finished with my reading for the day I stepped into warmer air. The sun had perched up over the town, casting a warm spring air. I loved this weather and was nearly happy that I hadn't brought a jacket this morning. Town was getting busier so I walked across the street and toward the coffee shop. I was a little surprised to see that guy I had seen earlier, asleep with his head against the window. I gently tapped my fingernails against the glass and made my way into the store. I noticed the light haired cutie had stood up, he was tall and slim with beautiful eyes. I smiled, although he didn't catch my appreciation towards him. I started to wonder who he was and what he was doing here. I knew mostly everyone around here and I knew I hadn't seen him before.
I ordered a medium latte and took my seat. As I began to sip on the warm drink I felt my phone buzz, seeing a text message alert on my phone.
From: Kyle
Where did you go? I have told you countless times not to leave without letting me know!
I ignored the text from my over protective brother and began to think about figuring this guy out. I wanted to know why I had never seen him before, since I am so nosey. It would only be a matter of time before I would see him, I'm sure.

After sitting the coffee shop, I decided to go back over to Eddie's, cozy up for a sec and finish my coffee in peace. I slowly stood and walked out of the shop, being careful of the small amount of traffic. I quickly stepped to the door, focused on avoiding Eddie when I stepped in and my coffee was suddenly dripping off of my shirt and chin. I gasped and looked up, expecting the creepy Eddie to be there but instead stood a tall, light curly headed, Prince Charming. I was taken back by him and he scrambled to find something to help with my burning shirt.
"I'm so sorry!" he said, placing a nearby towel on my shirt.
"It's.. It's gonna be alright," I said with a nervous laugh.
