Dear Daddy

It's been two months daddy. That's the picture of me, that mommy said you might like to have. I've made some friends from Mrs.Horrid's class. They are lovely friends daddy. Mommy thinks I like-like Josh Smith. But I do not, so don't you worry. Boys are gross. I know you said I couldn't date until I'm 80, but I think I'm going to wait until I'm 100.

   Besides, I can't get married without you. So I'll wait till you come back to fall in love. Don't you worry about that.

I learned how to multiply two digit numbers this year daddy. When you get back I'll be sure to show you. I have lots that I can impress you with. And maybe you can help me with my math homework. It's still kind of hard, mommy says she'll help me. But she is always too tired and instead she sleeps.

   Do you think mommy might be sick? She told me it's just headaches or tummy aches. But that's a lot of aches for one person, right?

Mommy sometimes cries in her room alone at night. She cries your name and prays you'll come back. I think she is just being scared though, because you promised you would come back. And you never ever break your promises.
