"I'm having a wonderful time with you y/n. We should do this more often." Brandon said to you with a loving voice. "So, tell me where are you from?" he said, grabbing a glass of white wine. "Well, I live in y/l (your location) and I had to go to the nearest airport to get from my location, to California. My parents wanted me to get a job application up here and be back by next week." He looked at you the entire time you were talking, interested in what you had to say. Then, he looked down at his wine glass, and sighed.
"Oh. I was hoping you'd be here a little longer. I wanted to get to know you better." You both looked at each other, then, slowly broke eye contact and fiddled with your hands. "Guess this'll be the last time I get to see you." You looked at him and said "Don't say that! Please...I just...want us to share the little moments together while it lasts." Brandon looked at your hands, grabbed them, kissed each one, and said "I know. I just wish you could stay longer."
You each linked hands, and then at the same time, you both said "Let's switch topics," and laughed. "I've also been meaning to ask you, Brandon, where did you get your necklace?" Brandon looked down at the blue triangle necklace he'd worn and said "Honestly, I can't remember. Why?" You kept your gaze fixated on his beautiful necklace. "Oh, just wondering. It's just..so...beautiful." He smiled and looked at you. "I'm glad you asked y/n. Because I have a special surprise for you after dinner."
On your way home, you took his car and went back to your place. He walked to your door, let you in, smiled, and followed you in. "Thanks for bringing me home, Brandon. I had alot of fun tonight." you said smiling. "I'm glad you did y/n." He then took you over to the couch, by your hand, the other hand behind his back. "I have a surprise for you." As you both sat on the couch, he was clearly nervous and shaking. "Y/n, I have one thing to give you, since you're leaving next week. Here." He pulled out a pink box with a white ribbon on it. "Go ahead, open it." You slowly took the ribbon off, and opened the lid on the box.
Inside was a necklace just like Brandon's, only, it was your birthstone. It had beautiful diamonds surrounding the triangle, and the metal holding all the gems in place, was white gold. Looking at the necklace he bought you, a few tears came to your eyes. "Brandon, I LOVE IT!!!" you exclaimed as you hugged him. After nearly suffocating him, he asked if he could put it on for you. You obliged and he put the necklace on your neck.
"Just a little something to remember me by. Until our next meeting."
