"So dear, we read your texts from your phone and I discovered that you've been talking to someone named "Brandon Rog-r-r-rah- ah fuck!" your mom said getting frustrated with herself. "All we know is that you've been talking to someone of the opposite sex and we'd......."

She paused. You were shaking with anticipation at what she'd say next. She'd probably say something like "to find out where he lives," or, "find out who he is and what his intentions are" or something like that.

"...like to get to know him better." your mom said with a soft tone in her voice. She wasn't as crazy looking or sounding anymore, neither were your siblings or your father. They calmed down and sort of snapped out of their crazy trance. Your anxiety and stress suddenly let go and disappeared into thin air. You let out a long needed sigh of relief. "He seems like a nice guy sis." your younger sister said to you. "Quite the charmer sis." your brother said to you. "I wish he'd come with you dear." your father said. "Next time, tell him he's invited to come and stay so we can get to know him better, ok?" he said with loving intent in his voice.

"I will guys. I'm glad you accept him. He really is the love of my life and everything I could ask for in a guy." You said as your family looked at you and smiled, congratulating you and giving you pats on the back, hugs, and kisses. As you went up to your bedroom that you had as a child, you whipped out your phone and decided to call Brandon's cell phone.

He didn't answer. Seemed like the cell tower signal was being repaired. It was awful scratchy. Maybe it was a bad spot, low reception, something. You wanted to talk to him. You decided to text him.

                                                                        ~ A WEEK PASSES BY ~

After a long painful week with my parents and siblings, I was finally able to get on a flight back to California. Your phone wouldn't stop dinging with spam messages from pointless people except for Brandon, Shane, and Ryland. You'd binge watched videos of your boyfriend and laughed your ass off doing so. Your family told you a few times to quiet down or else they'd get another noise complaint from the neighbors again."Finally." you sighed as you saw the runway appear. Your stomach burned with anticipation as you peered out the window. You were finally gonna see your boyfriend again and tell him all about the crazy week you had with your parents. You wanted to tell him about what they said about him and how they'd like to meet him. "I wonder how Brandon's been while I've been gone." you said to yourself, "I hope he's doing alright. Damn, this entire week felt like a freaking decade!"

Your phone dinged again. Brandon had sent you a text.

B: Hey,when are you coming back?

B: I miss you and hope you are okay

Y: Hey! I am all good and currently on my way

Y: I've missed you too

B: Great see you then

You set the phone down, smiling happily. Everyone on the plane slowly disappeared as you reminisced. "The first time our eyes connected and our lips brushed together, my butterflies multiplied." you said as butterflies flew around in your tummy. You shook with anticipation and nervousness. You wanted to kiss him again, feel his lips on yours, taste his honey chap-stick that he kept on hand.

"Ever since then ,they've been swarming within me,making me feel giddy every time he looks at me." you said in your head. Blinking back to reality, you slipped your phone from your pocket. You still had many hours to go through until you could see "your man" again. For the time being, you were going to rest to spend the day with Brandon when you'd arrive.

Time flew by and soon you had landed. The adrenaline must've woke you up. It was dusk, not completely dark, but dark enough for street lights to come on. It was also pretty humid and you could tell with all that fog on the runway. You'd get to see him and talk to him again. You felt sick to your stomach your were so excited.

As you got in the taxi and headed for your house, you saw a bunch of pink out in the front of your house. Signs said "I love you y/n. You're my everything." and "Come inside for a special surprise." You wondered what Brandon had done, where he'd been, what he did, everything you could every ask him. Your heart pounded in your fragile chest as you made your way to the door. What you'd see next would bring you to tears.
