Chapter 3

Billy takes a lot of crap coming from his subs, but two things are not on that list; lying and hard drugs. Now Steve on the other hand, he tries not to get into their business so much, but dammit he is responsible for them!

Steve walks into his house one afternoon, a couple weeks after the menstrual cycle debacle, followed by his three lovers. They all sit down to do homework after a quick snack. Steve clears this throat and looks at Billy and nods while Jonathan and Nancy watch them, confused.

"Well we wanted to tell you that tomorrow you two will be on your own. I have college tours and Billy has errands to run." said Steve

Nancy and Jonathan simply nod their heads and continue with their homework. Steve looked at them confused, but lets it go. He"ll talk with Billy about it later.

Nancy gets up to sharpen her pencil and Jonathan gets up to get something to drink. They meet up in the kitchen, but they look to each other and nod in understanding. Tomorrow during school would be the perfect time to do it.

The next day Billy dropped Johnathan and Nancy off at the front of Hawkins High School and drove off. He didn't even wait for them to walk in after bidding them a good day. The bell rang for first period to begin, but the duo
walked off into the opposite direction of the building.

Bon Jovi was having an album signing at the local mall and Johnathan and Nancy were planning to go after school, but during school there would be no line! The timing of both doms leaving could not have been more perfect!
They walked all the way to the bus stop and then got on when Jon asks "are you sure we won't get caught?"
Nancy replies " yes absolutely! You heard Steve, they're both gone for the day."
As usual, Nancy was correct and there was no line where Bon Jovi was supposed to be signing posters and albums.

Nancy and Jon got their stuff signed and were done in an hour.
Nancy said "I don't anticipate finishing so quickly. We can't go to school or else we'll get detention then Steve and Billy will know. What do you want to do?"
Jon replied "We're at the mall. Let's shop!"

They shopped for clothes then stopped for lunch and resumed shopping. By the time they were done, school had let out. They hurried to Nancy's house and hid the evidence of their day at the mall in her closet.

They were supposed to come straight to Nancy's and do homework. A quick call to a few class mates and they got their homework for the day. As they settled down with their books, Billy barges in with a look of anger on his face.

"Where have you two been?" He asks?
"School" they said at the same time.
"Don't lie to me" said Billy "After I finished my errands at noon, I dropped by the school to pick you up early and take you out as a treat for being so well behaved. Imagine my surprise when the lady at the front desk said you two didn't show up for homeroom!"
They shared a nervous look.

Billy continued " I called Steve in Indianapolis thinking he knew something I didn't, but he was just as confused. That's when I ran into Mike and he told me you were here."

Nancy spoke up for the two and said " Since you and Steve were not in school, me and Jon felt on edge so we took a quick trip. We didn't say anything because we didn't want you or Steve to panic or ruin your plans."

Billy looked at them for a while then said "ok. Next time you fee-" He was cut off my a bang in the closet.
When Billy opened the closet door, all their Bon Jovi merchandise fell out.

Johnathan said "Wow Nancy you must love Bon Jovi?" Feigning innocence. She nodded "Yep, gotta love "you give love a bad name""
During this exchange Billy glared at them and then he finally snapped. "Don't you lie to me Nancy Wheeler and Johnathan Byers.!"
