The Reckless & The Brave

Prologue.

Not everyone in my city is fearless. I guess that's the best way to put things. If you don't live here, you may only see some of the thick layers that make us appear as if nothing scares us and that we are relentless warriors. But there are people here who aren't fearless. But they are quite crucial, too. I can tell you one thing. Even though some may seem cowardly, nothing can stop my city.

My town is divided into three sections. The brave and the reckless. And the noble. Because as Mayor Indelia says, 'those who are brave must not be reckless, but those who are reckless are still brave. Those who are noble are not reckless, and may not be brave, but they are who we can trust most to be kind and wise. We must trust the brave ones to protect, the noble ones to decipher, and the reckless to act.'

Everyone starts out in The Noble. If you prove yourself to be brave enough for The Brave, then obviously, that is where you are put. If you join the brave but make several poor decisions you are transferred to Reckless. You can also just transfer to Reckless, but that isn't something people do that much. Unless you actually are Reckless, than it's a good thing.

The Brave stay on the outer layer of the city. That way, they can protect people with their bravery and decisions. The Reckless live in the middle, doing crazy things but still keeping up their third of the town. The Noble live in the middle, because they deserve to be most protected with all of their knowledge. I have always thought that in reality, The Noble aren't just wise, but scared.

For some reason, I have always wanted to be a reckless. Whatever section you are in, you are proud. The Brave and Noble get along greatly, but the Reckless follow their own path. But when I'm in Noble, nothing happens but learning and order. And kindness obviously, but you don't exactly get to choose what you do. So some of Noble is kindness and the other knowledge. With the Brave, it is also training. But Reckless, you can do what you want, as long as you are brave.

Oh how desperately do I wish I could be Reckless.

Unfortunately, I'm not all that brave.
