It was before school.

Namjoon sat on his bed, happily reading a fifth grade level book as he waited for his sister to tell him it was time to go.

The kindergartener sometimes felt like an outcast for being smart. He knew all the answers to every question the teachers threw at him, and was a very fast learner.

He thought it was easy, so why couldn't others do it?

"Namjoonie~" His dad called.

"Daddy? You are still here?" Seokjin nodded.

"We have a meeting with your principle today,"

"So you aren't going to work?" Jin quickly shook his head. "Then do we have to take the bus?!" He asked, really excited. Jin laughed and shook his head before looking up at the ceiling and squeezing his eyes shut.

Namjoon knew what he was thinking.

He knew Seokjin wanted his wife to be here to see them at their bed moments.

"Daddy," Jin looked at his son. "It's a good thing to keep people in your heart and never forget them, but grieving 24/7 won't do anything to bring them back. Love your life to the fullest," Seokjin sat there, completely dumbfounded by his five year old's words.

"Let's go, Monster," He grabbed Namjoon's hand and led him outside towards the car.

The black SUV pulled up in the school parking lot. Everyone got out.

He kissed Jiwoo's and Hoseok's forehead, but of course, Yoongi was stubborn. He closed all the doors and locked them. He quickly pulled Jungkook to sit on his broad shoulders, and held the twin's hands.

"Come on, Joonie," Namjoon followed his dad into the school office.

"Hello, Mr. Kim!" The principle greeted him.

"Hello, Mr. Jung, right?" Mr. Jung nodded.

"How many kids do you have?" He asked, trying to start up conversation. "Four?"

"Nope," He laughed nervously. "You probably don't know because a lot of people have the last name Kim, but I have seven." The principle looked astonished.

"Seven?" Seokjin nodded.

"Wow, you and you wife must be very- uh- busy," He said and let out a nervous laugh. Seokjin looked at Namjoon, remembering what he had told him this morning.

"Or.. I'm very busy," Seokjin said, taking Jungkook off of his shoulders and setting him on his lap.

"Single father?" Mr. Jung asked.

"I prefer the term widowed," Mr. Jung sat with his eyes wide open. "My wife died three years ago. This little guy's birthday," He said, ruffling Jungkook's hair.

"Oh.. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked.." The principle said, slightly embarrassed.

"It's okay," Jin said and sighed. "In fact, little Namjoonie told me to not keep my feelings bottled up," He said, giving his five year old son a smile.

"Yes, Namjoon is a very intelligent kid. That is why I called you here today," Mr. Jung informed them. "His reading level is WOW high for his grade. Like five years higher than average. And he excels in math and language arts. We have decided that, if we have your consent of course, that we wanted to move him up to second grade."

"I get to be in the same class as Yoongi Hyung?" Namjoon asked with a little spark in his eyes.

"Yes sweetie," Jin told his son with a smile. "I'll sign that," He told Mr. Jung.

"Kim Yoongi is your son?" He asked in utter shock. Jin nodded.

"I have my oldest, Kim Jiwoo who is in seventh grade, Kim Yoongi who is in second, Kim Hoseok in first, and of course Namjoon. And then I have those two, Kim Taehyung and Kim Jimin who are four, and Kim Jungkook, my youngest. He is three."

"Wow." The principle said and laughed. Jin smiled and nodded.

"I'm so happy to have them all, to be honest."

"I probably would be too, but I only have one," Mr. Jung said. "Okay, if you want to move Namjoon up, just sign this paper." He told Seokjin.
~~~
Namjoon walked nervously with Mr. Jung. He knocked on the door.
A pretty teacher opened the door. She smiled.
"Are you little Namjoon?" He nodded. "Okay class," She called and clapped. "We have a new student. This is Kim Namjoon," Namjoon walked in, and almost immediately, spotted Yoongi.
"Yoongi Hyung!" He called out. Yoongi woke up from sleep almost instantly.
"What?!" He looked at the teacher. "What is he doing here?!" He asked.
"He is our new student," The teacher responded. "Do you know him?"
"That's my brother,"
There was one thing Namjoon could detect from Yoongi's tone.
He was not happy to have him in his class.
