The Purge: 5 Seconds of Summer

Chapter 3

Michael's POV:

"This is your emergency broadcast system, announcing the commencement of the annual Purge.At the siren, all all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 hours All emergency services will be suspended. Your government thanks you for your participation." I swallow the lump in my throat and the boys and I all pile into Ashton's van.

The siren sounds.

"Yea let's fucking do this!" Ashton roars.

We pull out of driveway, then he sets the alarm on his house. Ashton is rich as fuck and he lives on the good side of the town, we all do but he lives on the really good side of town. The streets are empty. No one Purges here, they can't get into the houses, so everyone goes downtown, where people can't afford security systems.

He speeds down the road, flinging us from side to side as he drives down the winding road to Peter's. Peter lives just outside of our neighborhood. He has a security system, but it can be very easily broken into. And it doesn't hurt when Ashton's father is the one who designed them, and told Ashton how to get in.

After about 10 minutes of driving and Ash exclaiming how 'amped' he is and all that shit, we make it to Peter's. Shit. What if Luke can't do it?

"Okay Luke, you ready for this? Me and you. Calum and Michael are gonna stay here and watch the car, and make sure a mob doesn't try to come in." he smiles at Luke, who just looks like a terrified child.

I hear Calum mumble something to him, while placing a hand on his shoulder. Before we exit the car I speak up.

"Wait, Ash I think  should go with Luke." he looks at me like he is about to take my head off."I mean we need you the most, you need your energy...besides, I used to be mates with Peter."

"So? Why the fuck does that matter?" he snarls

"I know where his bedroom is." I give a fake devious smirk.

Ash just laughs. "Alright, alright man, I'll let ya have a go at this one. Have fun." He grins.

Luke and I pull down our masks and hop out of the car. Luke, with a gun in his hand, as well s two in either pockets of his weapons belt. I just hold a large machete and we approach his house. Ash follows behind, he has also put his mask down. He tinkers with the system for a few moments before we hear a loud screeching sound. The doors are opening, letting an awful screech to erupt.

"Are you ready?" I look to Luke.

His head slowly turns to me and he slightly nods.

"Don't worry mate,I'll be by your side the while time, just think of it as a...a video game? Okay?" I ask him.

"Thank you Michael, for coming with me, for not letting Ash." He states with a small smile.

I just nod in return and glance behind me to see Cal and Ash, both with large guns in there hands, guarding the van.

I look at Luke again and we move into his house, together.
