Silver Lining (Harry Potter fan fiction)

The Gryffindor and Hufflepuff stands were cheering like crazy. Harry looked at me from the distance and winked. I smiled and shook my head.

Later that after noon I head down to the library to do some homework. I hated to be doing homework on a Saturday but I was busy every day this week practising for the quidditch match.
Gabbie and Cedric were the first people I saw when I walked in. I walked past them and seemed they were doing homework. But Gabbie was helping Cedric with herbology mostly. I found a clear area in the library and took a seat there I took my text book out on Advance Arithmancy and a piece of parchment. I had my head down in my work and I was glad that I could actually be focusing on it. I was thankful I only had Arithmancy and Potions for homework. Because otherwise I don't think I would be able to attend quidditch practice.

Gabbie was on her way over to my area to grab a book.

"Hey" She Said.

"Hey" I Replied.

"You guys crushed Slytherin. You definitely have the quidditch cup this year."

"Thanks." I Said putting down my quill.
I glanced over at Cedric and smirked he was flipping through pages of the Herbology text book.

"So you and Diggory must be getting close?" I Said looking back at Gabbie.

She was looking through the pages of a book on Amortentia and not daring to look up.

Gabbie rolled her eyes "It's not that serious" she dread.

"Yet." I added.

Gabbie closed the book she was looking through and started to walk back towards Cedric.

"I'll see you later." She said.

"Okay."

I picked up my quill again and read the next question of the homework assignment. It turns out I don't have much left.

After I was done Arithmancy. I put it back into my bag and pulled out the potions worksheets.
I sighed. Usually I don't like potions but we have a new teacher so my opinion is changing on the subject. Defence Against the Dark Arts is my favourite subject but we have Snape now so I'm not totally sure. I've always tolerated Snape. He doesn't scare me unless he takes away something very valuable of mine. But it's my fault for getting distracted in his class. But in between you and me. He should honestly teach more interesting stuff next time.

A few moments later I was almost finished with homework. I was down to the last few questions then I can just enjoy the last of the weekend with my friends.
I looked over at Gabbie and Cedric and they were gone. They must have finished there homework. I had my mind set so hard on writing my answers. I nearly screamed when Harry came up from behind me.

He laughed. "Sorry didn't mean to spook you."

I sniggered "it's all good."

"How'd you know where I was?"  I asked.

"I didn't. I just walked in here to sign something out and just saw you and here I am."

"Oh." I Replied. I felt a bit embarrassed after that asking a odd question like that.

"You did great today by the way." I told him.

Harry scoffed. "It was almost to easy."
He said now leaning against the table.

"Yeah your right Malfoy wasn't even paying attention." I Said.

"Well I see you later then." Said Harry.

"Okay."

After that short sweet conversation I headed back up to the common room to drop off my bag. After that I went to the dungeons to the Hufflepuff common room. To hang out with Gabbie and Luna and possibly Cedric.

When I arrived in front of the barrels I took out my sycamore wand and tapped it in the right rhythm. I entered the Hufflepuff common room and tried to walk up to the girls dormitory. I knocked on the door and I heard Luna say

"It's open."

"Hi." I Said closing the door silently behind me.

Luna looked like she just finished her homework as well. I could tell because when I walked in she was putting books under her bed.

"Where's Gabbie" I Said sitting on her bed which is right next to Luna's.

"Probably hanging out Cedric." She replied.

"Yeah I figured."

"It's crazy. Those two are inseparable." Said Luna.

"Oh it's just the magic between a new relationship." I Said.

"Mhm." Smirked Luna. I could tell she was definitely hiding something. She tried so hard to hide her laughter.

"What? What do you know?" I asked.

"How've you and Harry been doin?" She asked curiously looking towards me.

I had my mouth open I didn't know what to say but then I smirked.

"How did you know that?"

"Oh please. I know everything."

But it was true. Luna knows everything about everyone for some odd reason. It's like she's gifted or something.

"I don't want to talk about right now. I would hate to jinx it."

"It's fine, but promise to tell me later about it." Luna asked of me.

I sniggered. "I don't know if I want to."

Luna laughed as well. "Alright then."

Shortly after that Gabbie entered the dormitory.

"Hey how did homework go" Luna exclaimed.

"Lets just say this is the first time I actually enjoyed homework." Said Gabbie sitting next to me on her bed.

"Gabbie, I think your in love." I gazed.

"I'm not disagreeing with you." She said.

Luna and I both looked at each-other and shook our heads and smiled.

After I was finished visiting with Gabbie and Luna. I started to walk back to the Gryffindor common room because it was getting pretty late. It was  weird walking the castle alone at night. But now you don't expect filch or Snape to catch you out of bed since it's the weekend.

I was on the grand stair cases and I heard footsteps coming from behind me. I had a feeling it was Harry. I turned my head to see who it was and I was right! 

"Hi" I Said.

"Hey." He replied.

We were waiting for the grand stair cases to connect again but we ended waiting a bit since there so slow and very much like to change.

It was silent for a bit until this happened.

"Do you have any plans for tomorrow?" He asked me.

"Not that I know I of." I answered.

He nodded.
"Do you wanna do some 1v1 quidditch tomorrow? Possibly." He asked me slowly.

I turned my head again and replied.
"Harry Potter, are you asking me on a date?" I Said smirking.

His cheeks turned rose pink.
"Yeah.. I guess I am." He smiled.

I smiled and I tried to stay extremely calm.
"I would love too."
