"You dealt with it?" I ask, rather concerned at both the vagueness of that statement and the multiple meanings it leaves to interpretation.

"Let's just say our mutual friend, Evelyn, isn't going to be head of Thoric anytime soon." Dezmond says with a grin, clearly amused by it.

"I can't say the same about Arcon." I say, rather disappointed in myself.

"At least she'll never know what it's like to rule a decent company." Dezmond jests, I'm not sure whether he says it to lighten the mood or just to insult me. Either way, he tries to give me some expression of sympathy.

Tries being the key word here.

"So..." I pause, glancing over at the dead body. "I feel that we should turn out attention to the task at hand. Unless Thoric also deals with the disposing of dead bodies."

"Nah, we don't have the proper licensing." Dezmond says, clearly amused with himself.

"Seriously though. Any ideas, or am I to leave it to the almighty Dezmond to solve?" I say almighty with air quotes.

"Well, considering the fact that you stabbed him as many times as you did, I wouldn't be surprised if your DNA was all over him. Though the extent of it depends on what you did to the body afterwards."

I give him a look of disgust.

"Regardless, the body will be found eventually. You should probably get rid of that red flag, though." Dezmond says, pointing out the very obvious blood stain on my jacket.

"There's still the matter of the body, though." I say, feeling overwhelmed at this point.

"We should probably try and throw it out into the river or some shit." Dezmond points out.

"But how?" I ask. "It's not like we can carry it along the street acting like he just got drunk.

"Good thing I brought a van, then."

As we subtly drag the body into the van, I notice how incredibly white it is.

"You do realize that there's a school around here, right? You don't want anyone to get the wrong idea." I say, somewhat proud of my joke.

Dezmond visibly rolls his eyes at me, and motions for me to help lift the body into the trunk of the van.

As we transport it into the trunk I ask.

"Don't you think that the body will create an unbearable odour? That'd seem kind of suspicious."

"Yeah, good thing that I know a guy who will let us use his car crusher." Dezmond says as we hop into the van.

Once we arrive at an area that would allow us to simply dump the body into the river, there's only one problem.

There's people here.

"Well then." Dezmond says, while putting his feet on the dashboard. "This certainly puts a dent in our plans. I hope you don't have anything scheduled, Jensen. This'll take a while."

I concur, and I decide to fall asleep for a bit.

I'm suddenly woken up back to reality by Dezmond as he rapidly shakes me awake.

"Jensen! The coast is clear!"

I step out of the van groggily as I have just awaken from my slumber. At least a few hours must have passed as it's getting darker by the minute, or so it seems.
