Valerie and Lorne maintained their passionate embrace by the door until Chloe giggled and said, "Looks as if everyone is ready for bed."

Damn, I need to learn control. Valerie unwrapped an arm, continuing to cover Lorne's arousal with her belly as she motioned to Chloe. "Come join the hug, Sweetheart. Then you head off to get ready and into bed; we'll see you in a few minutes to kiss you goodnight."

Chloe snuggled into their sides and hummed her contentment. Then as she prepared to leave, she giggled again. "Now, don't get carried away and forget."

"Chloe!"

"Yes, Mummy." She looked up with a toothy grin. "But we do need to have a talk about propriety and self-control. There's a good section on it in the book." She shrugged and grinned again. "Okay, I'm going."

Valerie sighed as she watched Chloe head toward her bedroom. "She's right; we have been acting like love-struck adolescents forgetting our place."

They refreshed in their his-and-hers bathrooms, then they tucked Chloe in and kissed her good night. Back in their bedroom, Valerie asked, "A shower first?"

Lorne grabbed the waistband of her top and lifted it up to bare her bra, then he undid her skirt and let it fall. "Us first. The shower can wait." He looked down at her bared red bush and shuddered. "No thong?"

"I left it off after the bidet. It was a tad ... hmmm, sticky." She lifted her top the rest of the way off, then unclipped her bra and let it slide down her arms, swinging her breasts at him. "I love your priorities."

"And I love you."

"Yeah, don't we? To distraction, it seems." She knelt and undid his belt, the button and the zipper, then eased the waistband over the bulge across his hip and let the trousers slide down his legs as she leaned in to mouth him.

Lorne kicked off his shoes as he stepped out of the trousers, undid his shirt and shucked it off, then he held the sides of her head and gently guided her off. "More comfortable on the bed." He chuckled. "Besides, neither of us needs priming."

They lay on the bed, conjoined and gently shifting their hips as Lorne answered her questions about the incident. "Walter had been an Army helicopter pilot, and as we descended, he talked us through the process, assuring us it was a well-practised manoeuvre. The main thing was for us to remain as still as possible to not affect the balance of the machine."

"Yeah, Patrick was telling us about autorotation. He's ex-military as well. Do you hire many of them?"

"I think it's stupid not to. An officer's leadership skills, experience and instilled initiative cannot be easily taught in a corporate environment. I prefer to allow Her Majesty to select and train them for us."

"Hmmm. I likely do that as well. It's not been conscious, but we do have a lot of ex-military on staff. I'll have to check."

They enjoyed a quiet interlude of gentle movements, Lorne finding the deep spot and settling into a slow rhythm before he said, "Patrick told me it was Chloe who came up with the idea of where we would be."

"Yeah, she's great at ... hmmm. At seeing ... hmmm. Let me focus." Oh, God! Her body quaked in tune with the loud pulsating moans coming from her throat.

Lorne trembled in sympathy with her, caressing and murmuring as she calmed, and when they had again settled into slow movements, he said, "You were telling me about Chloe's deductions."

"Yeah, she has a knack for knitting together seemingly inconsequential bits. She linked the loss of phone contact to the Virgin Mobile coverage map and the Google Earth image." Valerie chuckled. "She even marked the spot with a pin named Daddy."

"She's fond of me, isn't she?"

"No, she loves you. Loves you like the father none of us had."

"Yeah." Lorne gave a few quick thrusts. "I should finish here so we can get some sleep."

A while later, as they enjoyed the afterglow of their mutual orgasms, Valerie asked, "So, what are the plans for tomorrow?"

"Buy a winery then fly home. But start with breakfast. Would having it on the terrace suit? Or would you prefer to go down to Isola? Or maybe wander along the waterfront to find a place to eat?"

"Hmmm." She blew out a loud sigh. "I have to stop that humming."

"Not for me, you don't." He gave her a gentle squeeze. "I find it rather endearing."

"Hmmm." She giggled. "Love you to bits; you know that?"

"You've not stopped showing it since we met."

"Yeah, and you. Just took me a while to realise what was happening."

"We both did." He tightened the cuddle and gently kissed her lips. "Love you. We should sleep."

"Hmmm."
