more and more, he was slowly unconciously luring her in. although he doesn't know that he has a special place in her heart, he felt loved when he was around her.
"noona!" chenle shouted beside him. they were walking towards the cafeteria when they saw junghyun. donghyuck stopped in his tracks and saw a glimpse of more bruises on her arms and legs. the girl turned around and met his eyes.
junghyun smiled at the seven boys in front of her and eyed chenle, confused on why he called her. chenle ran to her and wrapped his hands around hers and said, "let's sit together, noona!" he gave her a little smirk while she, still confused.
"okay t-then..." he dragged her to the cafeteria, hands still on hers, six boys at the back just following them.
donghyuck furrowed his eyebrows, worried about her bruises. yeah, he missed her but that's not the situation here. who did that to her? should i ask her about it? does it hurt? thoughts and questions came rushing to his mind, making him lightheaded. "hey, mark hyung," he called the boy beside him. mark turned to him and tilted his head. "i think i'm going to skip lunch,"
"oh, uhh, okay. why though?" the older asked him. donghyuck shook his head and gave him a goofy smile before heading to the rooftop.
running to the fourth floor, he stopped and got his bag from their classroom. he continued to run up until the fifth floor where there's a ladder coming to the rooftop. it was pretty hidden, but he knew it the first time he saw that little corner. even teachers don't know about this 'secret ladder' that he found about.
he exhaled out a shaky laugh, reminiscing the times he was here when he felt overwhelmed. "ah, good times!" nope, not really. rephrase that to 'ah, sad times'. his smile surfaced and he felt good. the golden rays complimented his skin more and it was like the sun was one with him.
he always liked astronomy, mainly the sun and the stars. donghyuck started skipping through the whole rooftop, smile getting wider if he saw a place where he had memories in. he walked towards the end and leaned his body to the wall. there were no rails or anything that can stop students from falling over. he sat on the wall he was leaning on, feet outside, body facing the sky.
he lightly embraced himself and looked down. he was so high that the students looked so tiny.
"hey, sunshine! i missed talking to you." he talked to the sun, maybe himself. donghyuck viewed himself as the sun, not from the skin but his personality. he was pretty bright but he was also annoying. like the fucking sun.
a girl from below saw him and stared in awe. his warm sun-kissed skin complimented the cold dull wall that he was sitting on. she didn't even think about how close he is from falling from the ledge.
"it's been a while since i've talked to you here," he giggled to himself. "i have a problem though." he looked ahead of him and his eyes softened at the thought.
"this one girl i know," donghyuck's lips formed a soft smile as he rubbed his arms. "she was abused of some sort weeks ago, and i'm afraid that she'll get hurt again. i want to comfort her but i don't know how to- oh." his smile dropped as he recalled the memory.
"dad, look at her! she's crying," little donghyuck pointed at a girl crying at the swings. "how do i comfort her?" the kid looked up as he saw his dad say, "start with hugs, hyuckie."
start with hugs, huh?
"thanks, dad." donghyuck said as he pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. why is he such a copycat? he's trying to mimick his admirer's letter but except its on paper.
dear park siyeon,
guess he already fell for her.
