The rest of the week was…awkward. Jake stayed over a few times and the nights when my parents went out and it was just Tyler, Jake and I it was more than a little uncomfortable. I was thankful I had to go to the dance studio for three of those nights. Unfortunately, I always came home to find Jake and Tyler doing what ever, but then things would get too weird so I’d hide up in my room.

The weekend passed surprisingly quick, probably because all I did was wake up, go to the studio, dance, take a break, dance, break and so on for the better part of my mornings before Ben and I went to lunch and then returned to the studio in the afternoon. Ben usually stuck around on Saturday’s and Sunday’s to help Anthony out anyways, so we both spent most of the weekend together helping out in any way we could.

When Ben dropped me off at home on both nights. I’d head up to my room, shower, come back down, eat dinner in an awkward and tense silence with my brother and Jake, before disappearing into my room again to practice dancing some more.

Anthony, at the moment, was still learning all the routines for the spring dance show, and that was basically what we were helping him with. We watched the parts of movies other people were going to dance to so we could help teach. Ben and I also promised to watch Dirty Dancing over the week and try to learn a few moves since our choreography was only coming later, after we helped teach other classes their routines.

Of course, Sunday night was more awkward than usual. I had my door the my bedroom open, since I figured Tyler and Jake were downstairs playing video games or watching movies or something, and I was practicing some dance moves in my room in a pair of short black shorts and a midriff top since…well, it got hot when you danced and I didn’t think anyone was coming upstairs and would see me dancing.

I was wrong.

So, terribly, terribly wrong.

I was doing the Cha-Cha, which by the way sometimes looks weird when you dance with a ‘partner’ but you’re really dancing with the air since there’s no one there. Anyways, I had the music blasting and I was totally in my own world, spinning on the balls of my feet as I shook my hips, dancing around my room. I had to edit the steps of course so I could dance around my bed and other furniture so as not to injure myself.

Of course, when the song finished I did one last quick spin and saw an audience at my door, who started to clap.

Tyler and Jake.

I stumbled in surprise, losing my balance as I came right out of a spin and fell on the floor, right on my ass.

They both looked at me in shock, ceasing their clapping before they both burst out laughing.

I glared as I hauled myself to my feet, my cheeks darkening.

“Why are you watching me, you perverts?” I growled, stomping up to the door.

“Ew, Ivy,” Tyler scrunched up his face in disgust, “I’m your brother, that’s nasty.”

I scowled at him, “What ever,” I snapped, “Out.” I pointed down the hallway, still panting from dancing and feeling all hot and sweaty.

Not the most attractive image.

Jake eyed me silently, not once saying a word during the entire exchange. He just looked at me, expressionless, his earlier laughter gone.

I fidgeted awkwardly under his gaze, realizing just how much of my skin was showing because of the midriff top and short shorts. I wrapped my arms over my stomach, wishing I could cover up my legs but knowing that was impossible.

“Well...what are you waiting for?” I asked, looking from Jake to Tyler and back again.

“For you to dance again,” Tyler shrugged, leaning against my door frame.
