Why did I agree to this? I do not want to go on this date tonight.
Okay tip for life;
When the dorkiest kid in school comes up to you and asks you on a date, you say no.
The biggest loser of the school, Austin Carlile, came up to me to day and while blushing like a mad man asked if I wanted to get something to eat today after school.
I am one of the most popular dudes in the school. I fell bad for Carlile so I gave him my biggest smile and told him I'd love to.
I have to admit it was cute watching him blush as I scribbled my number down on his hand but what are my friends going to think? Everyone in the school knows I'm gay and no body even blinked an eye at me. Hell, I even got a few dates out of it.
I'm not the dating type because dating sucks. I believing the hit-it-then-quit-it tactic. It usually works, but sometimes there's the guys that just don't get it .
Austin was cute, but I've never talked to the guy I just know know one really talks to him and he doesn't talk much. I think when he asked me out was the first time I've ever heard him speak. I was alone in the hallway which was good for him, my ass hole friends have a tendency to beat Austin up. I don't contribute but when I see it happening I try and stop it.
"Alan!" My best friend Aaron knocked me out of my thoughts as we walked to our last period class, "are you serious about going out to eat with that kid?" He asked sounding astonished.
"Yea I mean it can't hurt." I kept my eyes forward.
"Do you like him?" He whispered like no one knew I was gay.
"He's cute." I shrugged.
"Oh here he is now." Aaron pointed to the tall teenager shoving books into his locker. As we approached him on of the large text books slid out of his locker landing on the ground with a hard thump. I moved away from Aaron and quickly moved to Austin's side leaning down to pick up the book.
"hey," my voice came out smoothly as I stood up to hand his book back, "we still up for tonight?" as much as I didn't want to go on this date I wanted to get to know the kid.
"Um Alan you know you don't have to go on this 'date' thing with me if you don't want to." He said his voice barley above a whisper.
"Hey," I put my hand on his arm, "I'm really looking forward to tonight."
"It's just I know your friends." he said blushing at the contact.
"Who cares my friends are dicks." we both laughed a little just looking at each other.
"Ashby what are you doing talking to the nerd?" The worst human being in the world asked me.
"Lay off it Danny, Austin and I are talking about hanging out later today, isn't that right Austin," I nudged the scared looking boy besides me.
"Yea." He said so quietly I could barley hear him.
"Alan man you don't really want to hang out with this nerd do you?" Danny asked not beliving what I have told him.
"Actually I do. Austin is very cool and I can't wait to get to know him." with that Danny walked off with his possie following close behind. I heard the sheriking noise of the bell and groaned, "Sorry Austin I got to ge to class, um see you at 5." I smiled at him.
Before I left I went on my tippy toes and place a soft kiss on Aiustins cheek. Leaving very quickly.
Why did I do that? I guess I do like Austin.
