"Hey, you've reached Corey I'm busy at the moment-" Miya hung up before the voicemail could finish. This is the fifth time.
'Why won't he answer me?' she thought.

She sighed deeply before shoving her phone back into her hoodie pocket. It started to chime repeatedly.
'Damn, that's really annoying' she thought.
'But I just put it in my pocket, I don't want to take it back out'
'But that noise is really annoying'

ping. ping. ping. ping. pIng. pING. PING

'Okay yeah that's enough'

"Shut up you metal hunk" Miya said aloud irritably to her phone before shutting it off completely. She threw it onto the checkered bed and sighed loudly. Her desk chair groaned as she laid back. She closed her eyes and listen to her surroundings.

The soft buzzing of cars down below and music from her brother's room filled her ears. She sat silently and listened to the world around her for a moment in perfect tranquility. That was ruined by a knock on her bedroom door.

"Yes?" She called out, a hint of annoyance lingered in her voice. The doorknob turned and the door opened to reveal her mother.
"Can you walk down to the shops and buy some groceries that we need for the week please?" she asked, more like commanded. Miya knew better than to argue with her mother and complied.

"Yes Mum" Miya replied, beginning to search for her shoes. Her mum silently left the room, shutting the door behind her. She slipped on her white shoes and grabbed her annoying phone, turning it back on.

'Huh, 15 notifications. Nice to know people like me today' She thought.

She picked up the list and money off the kitchen counter and walked out the door.

Miya walked quietly with her hands in her pockets, glaring at the ground. She silently wished for it to swallow her.
'It'd probably be less painful' she thought wistfully.

Corey had been very distant lately. She didn't know why. Her mind kept jumping to the worst case scenarios. But he would never do that. Right? Tears slowly cascaded down her face as unwanted images flooded through her brain.

Two blocks away, the famous Peter Parker was spread across the rooftop of his apartment complex.
'I wonder if Mr. Stark has called' he thought. Subconsciously he grabbed his phone out from his pocket and opened it only to find nothing. He sighed and put it back.

He tilted his head up to the sky and pulled his mask off, letting his hair blow in the breeze. Everything was still and quiet, yet he felt strange.

He clutched his chest in worry. It felt... empty. Like something was missing. He thought it might be his spidey senses playing up, but no that didn't feel right. Maybe someone's missing?
'Where's Aunt May?'
A clatter or pots and a very loud string of curses echoed throughout the quiet.
'Yep found her' he thought silently laughing to himself.

The grin quickly faded as the dark feeling grew. He sat up and ran his hands through his hair.

"What? What is it? Did I do something? Did someone else do something? What are you-" his voice trailed into nothing as he looked down onto the road. A girl with dark brown hair caught his attention. She walked alone and quick, as if she was trying to hide from someone. His spidey senses hadn't gone off but he felt like something was wrong with this girl. Slipping his mask on, he swung down from the rooftop onto the path in front of the girl.
