The next day, Alex had holiday classes in preparation for her final exams of 12th grade. She had left early, before I had even woken up.
Mum forced me to bring my books with me on the holiday so that I could work on my maths. I was the worst person in maths class and I was the second lowest in my class for maths.
I did really well in my other subjects: English, Biology, Drama and Geography. I was an average 'A' student in those subjects, but with maths, I could barely make a 50% and it was worrying seeing as I needed 70% to get into my dream university, so that I could study Marine Biology.
Maths just made me cry. Even when I tried and felt like I was getting the hang of it, the next equation would just slap me in the face and mock me with a nasty:
"Biiiiitch you thought!"

After what felt like endless hours of mental abuse and torture, I heard a raspy voice shout out a greeting.
I saw her reflection in the huge mirror I sat in front of. She had her bag hanging off one shoulder and her beanie in her hand.
She came around and kissed me on my head. I felt my face flush as she sat in front of me busying herself with something to eat.
"How was your day?" She asked nonchalantly.
"Absolute torture!" I motioned to my maths book
"Yours?" I asked
"It was okay." She shrugged
I watched her eat, not really knowing what else to do. She had that hard stare when she ate. It was absolutely adorable! I shifted my attention back to my books, dreading every moment I voluntarily gave up for it.
Maths! Legit the work of Satan!*****
"We're going bowling tonight." Alex stated from her spot on the bed. "My cousins will be with too." She looked at me, probably remembering how awkward I was around them the last time.
"Awesome! I'm down for anything!" I tried to sound chilled, but I sounded like a nervous goat.
Tonight should be fun...if I don't die of embarrassment because I can't bowl to save my own fricking life!
*****
Night time came around and everyone seemed eager to go out. We all crammed ourselves into one car and blasted music. It put me in a giggly mood...I either tend to giggle and talk A LOT or be completely silent when I'm nervous but tonight it was just pure giggle mania.
Once we got to the bowling alley, we had to be searched before entering. I swear, I hate body searches! Like personal space yo! Moving on!
"She's hiding bombs in her pants!" I looked around with a 'What the fuck?' expression, only to find it was Alex who yelled it.
I rolled my eyes and looked away. I can see myself being kicked out, I internally laughed.
I mean, if I could get kicked out for jumping on a jumping castle for kids, this shouldn't be any different. Screw society and their age limits on astronomical, bouncy fun!*****
So I didn't end up doing the best at bowling, like I had foretold, but Alex beat all of us and made us all look like amateurs. I still think that if she wasn't so hot I wouldn't have been so distracted and I would have won! If she wasn't moving that 'chiseled by God himself' body of hers all across the floor, maybe, just maybe...I'd have won.
I laughed a little out loud and I think everyone might have judged me for a few seconds. I blushed a little and turned away.
"What ice cream do you want?" Someone asked
"Huh?" I asked confused
"Ice cream." the voice said in a duhh tone which I soon realised to be Alex.
"Ooh...Uhm anything is chilled." I replied
I think I heard her say vanilla which I graciously accepted. I thanked her and took the cone but before I could even get it close to my mouth, my nose decided it needed a taste...
Great! I'm such a clutz!
"There's ice cream on your nose!" Alex laughed
"Thanks Captain Obvious!" I thought frustrated
"Let me clean it for you she smiled." She took my napkin and gently dabbed away the blob of cold, sticky sweetness off of my nose.
"Thanks." I said shyly
Great! That was like some super cliché Wattpad book moment! It was cute though, no lies...
