Months had passed. Enrique got a lot of projects coming in his way, as well as Kayla. They even hardly see each other. Ni hindi narin sila nakakapagtext because of their busy schedules. Kayla’s team up with her new co-star Cj Navarro became a hit, kaya naman naextend ang show nila.
It was a Saturday afternoon, Kayla’s rest day. She’s a bit bored dahil wala siyang magawa sa bahay nila. Fortunately, her ate Shannen came over--- her Kuya Kelvin’s girlfriend--- kaya naman may kachikahan siya. They’re now on their living room, reading magazines and playing with their dogs. Pareho silang mahilig sa puppies kaya nagkakasundo rin sila nito.
“Kaye, nood tayo TV. I’m quite bored.” Shannen said.
“Yeah, sure.” Kayla, while getting the remote and turning on the TV.
She was flipping through the channels when her ate shannen said, “Uy, wag mo nang ilipat. Si Enrique may interview oh!”
Natawa siya sa sinabi ng ate niya, “Ate shannen, yong totoo? Fan ka ni Quen?”
“Hindi naman, natutuwa lang ako sakanya, kasi dati while you were dancing, I think sa Marcelino Pomoy concert ‘yon, may stolen shot kayo and then he was caught staring at you habang nakatalikod siya kay Julia. I just saw it on a magazine. Nakalimutan ko na what mag was that. Wala lang kinilig lang ako.”
“Ah, so member ka na pala ngayon ng fans club ng loveteam namin? Founder lang ‘te?” Kayla joked, but she had to admit that her heart fluttered.
“Sira ka talaga! Pst! Wag ka na maingay, ayan na ‘yong interview ng Prince Charming mo!”
It was a live TV guesting. Kayla herself hadn’t been comfortable with live interviews dahil pakiramdam niya buong mundo ay makikinig sa mga sasabihin niya whether her answers would be right or wrong. It was like they were putting you on the hot seat with the most intriguing question and sometimes, you have no other option but to answer it with all honesty and at the same time in a careful, safe way.
“Sa lahat ng naging leading lady mo, kanino ka posibleng mainlove?” she heard Ogie Diaz asked Enrique.
At first, Enrique looked surprised with the question and said, “Sino ba?”
Ogie even joked to the audience, “Wag niyong isigaw ang pangalan ko!”
But Quen answered, “Kami ni Jessy,” Of course he would say Jessy, sa isip-isip ni Kayla. “s’ya ‘yong ka-loveteam ko ngayon and super bait niya talaga.
“Pero kami talaga ni Kaye,” Enrique gave an emphasis to her name, “Kayla, ewan ko, it was different e. Unang eksena palang wala ng ilangan,”
Kayla could even see the sincerity in Enrique’s eyes kahit nasa TV lang ito, at ang abot tengang ngiti ng ate shannen niya.
Then Quen continued, “Siya rin ‘yong first na super easy to go through. So siguro, maybe, dahil don, si Kaye.”
“Si Kayla?” Ogie Diaz clarified.
“Yes.” Enrique said with certainty.
“Uuuy! Si Kaye, kinikilig! Aminin!” Shannen was looking at her, more of examining her reaction.
“Hindi ah! Tsaka, wala lang siyang choice kaya niya siguro sinabi ‘yon!” Patay malisyang sagot niya.
“Hello! Kung wala siyang choice, bakit ka pa niya binanggit? Pwede naman na nagsettle nalang siya sa sagot niya na Jeesy diba? Tutal naman e ‘yon ang kaloveteam niya.
“But still he said it’s you, Kaye, Kayla! Wala naman kayong project together para sabihin niya ‘yon diba? Para gumawa ng gimik? Don’t you think he took all the risk nung sinabi niya ‘yon dahil baka nadisappoint ang fans nila ni Jessy?”
“Si ate shannen talaga. Masyado ka nang fan ni Quen ah.” She just tesed her, baka kasi kung anong masabi niya at lalo pa siyang malagay sa hot seat.
“Iniiba mo naman usapan e. Basta ako, I find him very honest and gentleman. He’s my bet! Bihira ang ganon sa showbiz ah. May iba kasi diyan, just for the sake of the loveteam, kung ano-ano ng sasabihin. Kahit hindi na bukal sa loob nila. Lalim ko no?”
Kayla laughed, “Oo, ang lalim mo ate, ano ba nakain mo?”
“Sinigang, bulalo, nilaga.” Shannen answered imitating the boy she had seen in a commercial.
And then they both burst into laughter. Kalog din talaga ang ate shannen niya kaya nag-eenjoy talaga siyang kabonding ‘to. She’s a bubbly person, kaso s’ya ‘yong shy type, she would just laugh, and then kukuha ng timing para bumanat. Naalala niya tuloy si Quen, this guy she loved to be with. Actually hindi lang dahil sa attracted siya dito ---okay, she’s admitting it now, she’s a bit attracted--- kundi, dahil na din sa napapatawa siya lagi nito.
