My legs are acing. My breathing is heavy. The finish line is in sight, I won't be seeing one for a long time due to older sister Kate. I start to push my already hurting legs much faster and pump my arms. Then it hits me, there is not another runner in front of me only hot of my hills. What a great last race it would be to win it, to come first place over the hundreds of others. "Come on Ally your nearly there keep pushing" I hear a familiar voice scream, it was my coach. I do what I'm told and push my body over the line and into the lanes, I continue running until I reach an old man who takes down my number and time which the even older lady standing next to him calls out. As I step out of the lanes I feel two cold hands resting on my sweat socked back, I turn around to see Will; a massive smile covering his perfect face. Over the 2 years I have trained with him I have devolved feeling for this strong but sweet man, he was only just starting his coaching when he scouted me running in my local park at 16. He was just recovered from a broken ankle which had shattered any dream he had of becoming a professional runner before they even started. "Ally" I heard another voice call me my twin brother. "Gus" I smiled; Gus and I were twin siblings him being older only by minutes, which he ceases to remind me. He pulls into a hug, "saving the best to last" he chucked into my ear. My mood change at his comment, "well it wouldn't have to be my last if my arshole of parents didn't intended on dragging me across the world due to my sister choose of job" I tell him and his smile is replaced with a frown "Ally we are a family we are meant to support each other's dreams" did he really just say that to me? My parents didn't support anyone apart from Kate "So where are they then?" I question my brother "Where are they? Where were they when you got your award huh?" Gus didn't answer. "This is my dream and well that was yours but no they were too worried about superstar Kate" Gus face was emotionless, because he knows I'm right. My dream was to run to do it till my body gave up and Gus his was to play football. The silence between us was deafening. "Ally are you coming to celebrate with the team?" Will asks breaking the silence. "I wish I could but we are leaving tomorrow and I'm still not packed" I frown, He gives me a knowing nod. When I was told we were leaving Will was the first person I told, I cried into his shoulder that night after training. "So I guess this is goodbye" he whimpers, I felt my eyes begin to swell "yep" I awkwardly answer. "I'll wait in the car" Gus whispers into my ear before giving me a light kiss on the cheek. Gus and I could never stay mad with each other for long. Both me and Will burst into tears and then embrace each other in a hug. "I'm going to miss you so much my little Ally" his words hit my right in the chest, he called me his and it was true I was his for the moment I meet him. "I'll miss you too" I whimper into his chest. My legs are gasping to be rested but I try and ignore it. "Ally I... I..." he stutters, I smile at this nervous guy in front of me. He lets out a little chuckle "I love you" and before I can take it in his lips are crushed into mine.
