2 Alive
"Why were you trying to kill me Dan?" asked Cahill. I had no answer except tell him about the monster. That monster was huge and I had no explanation whatsoever on where it went. I hugged him tightly asking if he saw my brother or my sister, or in fact anyone but he denied. I peeked back at the way I came from to see the huge scorpion man coming this way. I held Dan's hand and tried to run, but he just wouldn't move. I decided to make a run for it, but the scorpion man had turned around the corner.
The scorpion man looked closely at Dan and ran away. Well it was made of scorpions so crawled away. But it surprised me as why the scorpions didn't attack Dan. Why they ran away but attacked me. Dan held my hand and started pulling me, "Come on, we need to get out of this place." I slapped his hand tightly as he looked at me. "We cannot leave until we find Sofia and Kane. I love them way more than I have loved you and I cannot abandon them." He looked at me and said, "Well that was cold, even for my girlfriend." I kept walking along the corridor and he just followed me.
After walking for a while he asked me, "So when we find Sofia and Kane, we make a run for it, out of here?" I didn't look back and tried to ignore him to concentrate on finding the others, but ultimately gave in. "Remember this is somewhat your fault, so we try to find anyone who's alive, they don't deserve to live in the trouble you created." We kept walking as I shined my light on the walls checking for any signs leading to the others. We kept walking till we came across a dead end.
There were no doors in the corridor we were walking in. I looked closely at the wall shining my light on it and saw a small red spot. There was lots of dust on the wall too. I dusted off the wall to see and door. On it were the words 'OPEN' written. It was in red paint, which could've possibly been blood. I found a crowbar at the side of the room which I used to open the lock door. I looked behind me and Cahill was gone. I shrugged since he was the last person I wanted alive right now after him wanting me to abandon Sofia and Kane. As soon as I opened the door, a note fell from the top of the door, hanging by a thread.
On the paper were the words, 'Leap of Faith' were written. It may have also been written in blood. I took a step forward while my other leg slipped. There was no floor across the other side of the door as I fell in a deep pit. I picked up my phone fallen beside me. I shined a torchlight on the pit as lots of dead bodies were fallen. I assumed they all might've fallen in the pit and died but I closely looked at them and they were already rotten. They were dead more than a week ago. It couldn't have been possible since it was a school 3 days ago. I looked at another corpse beside me and I freaked out. The corpse was of my old best friend Ashlynn who left me when I started dating Cahill.
I looked back up and it was a long way up. Suddenly the lights came up as I saw I was in a room which looked like it was from a nuclear plant test area. It had a glass window on one side as I saw Cahill passing by. "Cahill! Cahill! I'm here, help me!" I shouted at the top of my voice. He looked at me and kept banging on the glass window. I heard a loud creak as saw bodies beside me getting crushed. I looked down and saw Sofia's and Kane's corpses staring at me. I started to tear up as the walls were starting to get closer. I looked back at Cahill and I suddenly fell on my back at the horrific sight I looked at. Cahill was still banging on the glass window, but his head was facing the other side. He was not tilting his head behind, but it was in fact a complete 180° rotation. It was just like an owl looking behind. I rubbed my eyes and looked back to see Cahill back normal. I assumed I must be hallucinating a little due to the events happening right now.
The walls were even closer as I ran towards the glass window. Cahill ran out of the room, maybe trying to find something to help me while I kept banging on the window. "Cahill! Don't leave me here! Please Cahill! Save me!" I kept screaming but he just left. After a minute or so, Cahill came running in the room. He looked at me as he saw the walls almost crushing me. He put an ice-pick on the window and cracked it and pulled me in the room. Just as I came inside the walls closed as blood oozed out of the window splashing over me and him. I lied on my back laughing a little, trying to not freak out about what happened.
He looked at me again and asked, "I have been trying to find you and the other for too long." I looked at him, surprised a little, "Yeah, I know, we had been looking for them together, but you abandoned me there, also as I remember, you didn't want me looking for them and just wanted you and me to get out of this place." He gave me a surprised looked himself as he replied, "No, we haven't, I just met you. I heard someone screaming and I came to the aid. I have been trapped in a room beside this and just freed myself." I assumed he must've been hallucinating like I was and agreed that I didn't meet him.
"I'm too tired right now, I think we should get some rest." He said as he closed the door. "We should be safe here for now, but we should still stay alert, it's best if I keep a lookout." He sat down on the floor as I put my head in his lap. "I really missed....." Before I could finished, I fell asleep after what happened just now.
