2 Alive
We saw a huge metal leg coming inside the bathroom. Slowly tentacles started coming inside the room. Cahill started to make a run for it leaving me stranded in the mirror. At the other end of the tentacles, I saw a huge red light. The light was shining straight in the mirror. It started to put its tentacles in the mirror. I tried to evade the tentacles but the hands in the mirror were too tight and the huge monster's tentacles caught me.
It started to pull me out of the mirror. It took me out and held me near his metal head. His two red eyes slowly started to turn white and it started to split its tentacles. I tried to push my self out of his grab but it was too tight. Slowly the monster's mouth started opening. It was just pitch black as it started to put me inside. It was about to devour me when suddenly Cahill threw a small rock at the monster's leg and ran away.
The monster dropped me on the floor and started to follow Cahill. Cahill stuck his leg out as the huge monster tripped and crashed against the wall. He took out his ice pick from his pocket and hit the monster in his eye as the colour slowly faded away. The metal pieces started vapourizing as just a rag was left lying on the ground.
"Did you kill the monster? Do you know what that is?" He replied me, "I do remember the huge monster, not the name though. As for this, this wasn't the monster. The monster cannot be beaten. This was just a small ghost." I was astonished to know about the knowledge he had about this. "How do you even know this stuff?" He shook his head and replied, "You should know this too, this is from the game I put in that machine. The machine made the whole game real, and just like the game, we're supposed to escape." It suddenly clicked me as I remembered that it was from Survival, the game I was playing the night before the accident. "You're right, and maybe your survival instinct have enlarged because you're one of the characters from the game. And so am I. But as far as I remember none of the characters survive? Maybe I must have played it wrong." "And this ghost is also a part of the game, so is the zombie and the scorpions. Even that mirror and the corpse room you were stuck in was a part of the game. It all makes sense. We just need to find a way out." He tried to move ahead while I kept looking at the ground thinking.
"That means Sofia and Kane are alive. So we need to find them, fast. And then we find a scientist who can help us escape." Cahill turned around as he saw a shadow on the ground. It wasn't a shadow of me or him but of another man. He took out his ice-pick and tip-toed his way to the shadow. Cahill swung the ice-pick as hard as he could. The ice-pick stuck to the wall and we heard a small shout coming from the man hidden there. "Ow, what are you doing?" Cahill asked for the torchlight in my phone, but my phone was pretty much drained. He pulled out his ice-pick as the man hiding in the shadows came out. I recognized him. He was Ashlynn's dad.
Before Cahill could strike the man again, I stopped him. "Well I'm Matt, Ashlynn's dad, do you know her?" "Yeah, I know her she was my best friend, though I've never met you cause you were always at work." Cahill shrugged his shoulders and started to leave. "Come on Dani, let's leave, if the old man wants to follow, let him. Just tell him not to follow in the shadows, or I won't miss next time." I started to follow Cahill and Matt started following me. "So could we find Ashlynn before we leave this place?" I answered yes as I started running to keep up with Cahill's pace.
Cahill kept walking until he stopped by a door. "I may not have have finished the game like you, but as far as I remember, we find a character here." It's also where I hid the charger so we can charge your phone. "What game? I don't understand what you're talking about" Matt asked us. "We'll explain later, why don't you enter the room first?" Matt agreed and opened the door by it's knob and entered in. As soon as he entered, we started hearing the shrieks of a girl from inside. Me and Cahill rushed inside as the girl screamed, "MONSTER!!!", and fainted.
Matt kept looking at me asking if he did something. We looked at the girl, it was Sofia, my sister. I tried shaking her while Cahill untied her from the chair. Cahill took an ice cube he had and put it in Sofia's mouth. Sofia slowly started opening her eyes. "Sofia, I'm so glad you're okay." Sofia put her hand in the air pointing towards Matt. "Where's the monster?" I looked at Cahill and then back at Sofia. "What monster? There's no monster here, just me, Cahill and Ash's dad. We've trying to find you for days, what happened to you?" Cahill put his hand on my shoulder before I could finish. "Maybe she needs her rest, I think we should talk about it in the morning when she's a little better. You take care of her while me and Matt keep a watch out." They left the room while I stroked Sofia's head as she tried to go to sleep.
