4 Alive

Me and Sofia had slept all night in that room. At times she would wake up and cry, but I would pat her head and sing her a lullaby. She needed the rest after what she might've gone through. She had bruises over her body and cuts on her neck. I took out the plug from the charging point, the plug which Cahill had hidden in the room. My phone battery was full, enough to last a day at least.

I kept the charger in my bag. I checked the bag and found my flashlight missing. It must've fallen in the corpse room. I now realized after three days what was missing from the bag. It was my laptop on which I was supposed to write. But it wasn't of high importance, the main objective was to escape. I knocked on the door to check if Matt and Cahill were still alive. I did get a knock back as a signal that they were alive. When I pushed the door open, I saw Matt standing there. I couldn't see Cahill though.

When I asked Matt about Cahill, he replied that Cahill ran away saying that we were slowing him down. I held my fist tightly trying to control my anger. I couldn't believe what Cahill had done. "Come on, let's go, I hope we reach the exit before Cahill, and I hope we get to block him inside." I put Sofia's arm around my shoulder and started to walk. Sofia was still weak but was able to walk as she wanted to escape too.

We kept walking while Matt led the way. Although Matt should've been the one helping Sofia, I didn't trust him enough. We kept walking forward. "Do you even know where we're supposed to go?" He nodded and just kept walking. Suddenly we started hearing these computer beeps. We started to walk faster towards the beeps. The beeps kept getting louder until we reached a door with the words Computer room written on it.

Matt knocked on the door while I looked behind us. There was a huge trail of blood behind us, dripping from Sofia. She needed help as she was still bleeding. The door was then opened and shut immediately. I got closer to the door and knocked on it. "Mister, I don't know why you're avoiding us, but my sister needs help. Or else she will die." The man in the room opened the door a little, peeking through the hole and then fully opened it. "Alright, you seem human, come in."

We entered the room. It was huge. It was bigger than what it used to be. In the middle of the room is a huge tree. The tree was blue in colour and it had small branches connecting to every computer in the room. "I call that the information tree, it links every device or computer to this room as long as it's connected to the branch located all around the school." I kept staring at the tree while the man helped me lay Sofia down on the desk.

The man took out a few ice crystals and placed them in Sofia's bruises and cuts and one in her mouth. I remembered the man from the science fair. He was one of the scientists who were judging. "Btw I am Dr. Andrews, but you may call me Doctor, Andrews or just Miller. As you might remember me, I'm one of the scientists from the school fair, but I've been trapped here in some sort of world like you guys. I've been trying to find a way out and I believe I may have." I started to get excited but remembered that we still needed to find Kane before leaving. "Well if you have found a way, why don't you try to get us out of here while me and Matt try to find my brother." He looked at Sofia, then at Matt, and then at me.

"Well it's not that simple, first I have to open the barrier with this laptop from this room." He slowly took out my laptop from a drawer. "Hey, that's my laptop." He looked at the laptop. "Well you can have it when I open the portal, the only problem is, it's on the other side of the school, and only a few people may enter, I am unaware of how many." "Well that's no problem, I'll find my brother and then we'll be off, till then try to open the portal."

I held Matt's hand and pulled him out of the room. "We still have to find Kane and Ashlynn." We started moving in a different corridor. The corridor had once again changed. It's like every time we enter a room, the corridors change. We tried to walk in the direction of the corridor hoping we'd find a scream or a sign on the wall. "So if we don't find Kane and Ashlynn, do we make a run for it?" I stopped walking at looked at him clenching my fist. "Are you crazy, he's my brother and she's your daughter." He replied me, "But if we're unable to find them, it could be that they're dead." I let go of my fist and looked down. "I guess you're right. If we don't find them until tomorrow, we'll make a run for it."

I started walking again when suddenly I stepped in some liquid. I took out my phone from my pocket and switches on the torchlight. The liquid was black and coming from a door beside us. I dipped my finger in the liquid and smelled it. "It's oil?" Suddenly we started hearing banging as we saw three huge men on the door opposite to us. They were banging on a door quite far away from us as if they were trying to open it. A few seconds later they were able to open one door. Two more door were left to open. We opened the door from where the oil was leaking and closed it. By the time we were in, the three men had smashed the second door too. The three men were huge and were holding huge blades. Well they weren't holding, it was more like it was attached to their hand. We kept running occasionally looking backwards when we hit a T-section. Behind us one of the large three men had smashed the door we had just entered through. From the left, we saw another of the three men running towards us. From the right we saw the last of the three men running towards us with his huge blades up in the air. We had nowhere to go.
