When I got home the next day, I took a first look at the sketch book you had given me. On the inside on the first page there was a sticky note. That read 'Since I don't know your name, maybe I can know your digits? ;)' and then your number. I smiled when reading it.

I just thought about that actually, you don't my name. Will you ever? It wasn't part of some big trick, I just simply, didn't want to tell you my name. Names don't really mean anything to me. Maybe I would eventually, I don't know.

I put your number in my phone.

"Hi."

"Dove?"

"Who's Dove?"

"Dove is your nickname, since I don't know your real name."

"Why Dove?"

"..."

"So now I'm getting the silent treatment?"

"You'll find out why I picked Dove another time."

"Alright."

"Okay.. Bench today?"

"Sure."

"beat you there :)"

I grabbed my bag and ran out the door, I wasn't going to let you beat me today. I only lived about 5 minutes away from Downtown, where the bench was. I sprinted. As soon as I saw the bench I realized that I would be the first one there. You hadn't been there yet. I sprinted up the street and soon I saw you flying out from behind one the buildings also running towards it. As soon I saw you I used all the rest of the running power I had to get there and dive on the bench before you did. I beat you. Finally. You jumped on top of me laughing. Then you smiled.

"Hi Dove."

"Hi."

"Whatcha wanna do today?"

"Beach?"

You nodded.

We walked to the beach once again. Holding hands, laughing and talking. When we got there, we climbed up a sand dune. As we looked around at the top, we sat down. You placed your head on my lap. I brushed your beautiful golden hair out of your face. You smiled.

"You know, I'm really glad I sat on that bench the first time I did. I wasn't going to but I told myself fuck it I have nothing better to do."

"I'm glad you did too."

You looked over at me this time speaking.

"Hey Dove?"

"Yea?"

"Have you ever been in a relationship?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"I've never really liked anyone."

"Really?"

"Yea. Have you ever been in one?"

"Yes."

"With who?"

"Joseph."

"Oh."

"Yea, it was the biggest regret of my life."

I laughed. Joseph used to go to our school, until he got expelled. He was the biggest bully and a huge douche bag, I'm glad he's gone.

Assuming you said you dated Joseph, that you probably didn't like girls. There goes my chances.

"Have you ever liked anyone besides Joseph?"

"Yea.."

"Who?"

"A girl. At my old school, I liked, but when she found out, she told the whole school and I got bullied really bad there because of it. That's why we moved here."

"Oh. I'm so sorry."

"It's alright."

We ended falling asleep on the beach. I woke up to someone calling me on my phone. It was 2 o'clock in the morning. It was my mom, shit. I sat up and tried not to wake you.

"Mom?"

"Where are you? It's 2 in the morning."

"I'm sorry, I fell asleep on the beach with Riley."

"Oh. Your new friend?"

"Yea."

"Alright, are you okay?"

"Yea."

"Alright well I guess just stay there and sleep, but let me know where you are next time. Oh and you should bring Riley over sometime."

"Okay mom, love you."

"Love you too."

How was she not mad! It was 2 in the morning, I wasn't home and I was on the beach after it was closed. Well I guess she was just happy for me, especially since I was with a person. Since I had almost never had a friend before. When the sun began to rise, we woke up.

We sat on the beach for quite awhile before we left to go back in town. We went back to the bench and sat down.

"My mom said she wants you over sometime, she wants to meet you."

"Alright awesome! Will I get to figure out your name?"

I shrugged.

You crossed your arms.

"Do you want to come over tomorrow and spend the night?"

"Definitely."

"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye Dove."

"Bye Riley."
