I wake up early in the morning. I can smell the strong scent of blood from my wrists as soon as I wake up. It is not the first time it was like this. I raise my head up and groan at a bruise on the side of my face. It really hurts, but I am kinda use to it from my father. I stand up and walk to my dresser and open a drawer full of random stuff. Old toys, band-aids, alcohol wipes, small notes, and a game boy. "I must be out again." I mumble as I close the drawer and walk back to my desk.
I grab my keys and my phone and slide them into my pocket. I slide the chair back under the desk and grab my jacket off of my messy bed. I slide it on and throw the hood over my head and zip it up quickly. I walk out of my room and into the living room. The heavy scent of beer hits my nose and I almost gag at how bad it is. I have always hated the smell of beer, believe it or not. I walk past my father as he watches tv and grab his wallet from the counter. I open it up and smile as I see two twenties. I slide it into my pocket along with my phone and leave the house.
I pull my keys out after I sit on my bike and start it up. I step off the ground as I drive forward and get on the road. I take off quickly with the wind flying through my hair. The wind always feels so good to me. It is almost like being free from all my sadness and pain at last, but that's impossible. I pull into town and turn into a small store. Two of the stores lights are out almost everyday. Guess they do not get enough money to ever fix them. I get off my bike and walk to the stores entrance. The doors creak open slowly as I walk through. I walk down a few isles and stop at the shelves I need to. I grab some bandages and gauze's and walk to the check out line. People are staring from corners of the store to in the middle of the line. I ignore them as I walk up to the cashier and lay my stuff down. She scans them and lays them in bags quietly.
I pay her and take my bags and quickly leave. I lay the bag on my handles as I get on and start the bike up again. I drive away and back home. I go into a daze and stare at the road. I quickly look up as I hear a horn and swerve out of the way as a truck flies past me. My bike slides and falls on its side and hits the road hard. I pull my leg out from under it as I feel a very hot sting and I sigh at the sight of my sizzled jeans. I push myself up and pick my bike back up and sit back down and try to start it but the engine kills. "Crap." I mumble and try it again but it dies again. I get off with a groan and push it home. I get home and grab my bag and prop the bike up. I walk up into the porch and hear a loud smack as the bike falls. I sigh and open the door of my house and freeze as I see my father at the door with his arms crossed and a dark glare.
